Dear Sir! Until now, I thought that the oil level should be checked with an engine running in an automatic transmission. Did I know wrong? Thank you very much for your respectful reply!
hello , mostly on Japanese cars you measure it on running engine with original dipstick . Problem here this is not the original dipstick . If i measure it on running engine , it will become a part of the gearbox . And "I couldn't find any instructions indicating that oil should be measured while the engine is running."
thank you my friend good work and excellent expression 👍🏼. I have w245 2008 B150 Automatic and oil motor (not diesel) . Nowadays i have some trouble such like “When you step on the gas, the engine speed does not increase and the vehicle does not move forward, but when you shift the gear to neutral or park and switch back to drive mode, the vehicle moves forward. Also, when you switch to R mode, the vehicle suddenly wants to rush backwards and the engine speed also increases.” Your opinion and quick respond is very important for me. Because of tomorrow i think that to go to the an expert here. But first of it i have to get an idea about it. Thanks
hi again , it looks like a CVT gearbox problem . Do you have any error codes ? what's the mileage on your vehicle ? when was the last time you changed gearbox oil?
@ Hi again, first of all thank you very much for your kind and prompt reply. Mileages is around 155K. And i am the second owner of it. Since 2014. As i remember i never changed gearbox oil before. And most probably it has never be changed since from the production line in Stuttgart/GER. Actually I am not sure whether issue related to gearbox or not. If you have any idea or advice to me, really it will be my pleasure to know it. Awaiting your kind respond 👍🏼
@zafercebeci after 150 000 kilometers , the valve body from CVT gearbox goes bad, and it needs a replacement . If you change oil on time it can survive lobger . But at some point , they go bad and need to be replaced . I still think it is a CVT issue
@@AutoFixGuru Really i dunno how i Thank you man. 🤝👍🏼 I see. So the last question, Absolutely you look so right. if we need to replace it ( gear valve body) do we really need to all motor (engine) hang up and release from the car? Because some masters says here that “it will take 3-5 days and i have to leave car to them and they will pull up the total engine first and then they will reach to the gear box to processing. Is that true? Actually i can leave the car and i believe it can be take few hours but i can not give meaning why they should totaly hang up and release the engine from the car to reach gear box?
@zafercebeci by this cars , it is very easy thing to do . You don't need to take engine out , they made it with easy access . You can do this even at home , i did . It's sad i dont have it on video
Its a bit counter intuitive for Mercedes not to build the dip stick into the system. Why do i have to buy another dip stick just to check trans fluid???

thank you very much
