We have to be careful when prophesies mention the word "Rome." Rome and the Vatican are two completely different entities. Citizens of Rome are not citizens of the Vatican and vice versa because the Vatican is a sovereign country located inside of Italy. So when a prophesy says that "Rome" will lose the faith, it may be referring to the city of Rome, not the Catholic Church. And this is the reality today because few young Italians now consider themselves to be faithful followers of the Catholic Church.
What about Oct.1958 White Smoke with Cardinal Guissepe Siri (Gregory XVII) and the usurper roncalli (John XXIII) very hard to see Bergoglio and Ratzinger as true popes with their astounding amount of writings or speeches as Catholic.
