Chinese New Year Crafts: RED ENVELOPE FISH 紅包魚 - Easy Paper Crafts Tutorial

  • In this video, I'll teach you how to make a paper fish from Red Envelopes, Hong Pao, Lai See, Ang Pau, or 紅包 (so many ways to say it). All is requires is one red envelope, a pair of scissors, and a stapler with staples to secure the tail. You can also use glue to assemble the tail if you wish.
    HINT: If you don't have red envelopes, tape two adjacent sides of two square sheets of paper together to get the "envelope" effect (watch until the end of the tutorial to see what I mean)!
    It's the year of the sheep. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! Wishing you happiness and health.

    If you put some of the scraps inside the fish, it helps it stay puffy.

    Jenny has made SeeHow so happy with making these wonderful fish. Also, I see how they look like many of my friends. It is so great that you have helped others see how to do this. One question though, do you use your magic powers to learn this kind of craft too, or do you only use that for your great magical singing?

      ***** Hi SeeHow The Sea Cow! I'm glad you like these fishy friends. No magical powers here! Just inspiration from wonderful people...and animals! :)

    I still don't know how to make with a envelope, so can I use A4 paper?

    • @OrigamiTree
      @OrigamiTree  9 років тому

      +Clarie Lo Hi Claire, Sorry, no, you cannot make it with A4 paper. If you wanted to use A4 paper, you would need to cut the paper into the same size as a Red Envelope: 2 6/8" x 4 1/8". See 4:42 to learn how to make it with "regular" paper.
