- Hi everyone! Tonight we're at Navy Pier for Light Up The Lake. It's Friday, December 8th and despite being up and running for a couple weeks we still encountered a number of activities that were closed or delayed opening. That being said it's still a nice night to just walk around and look at the lights.

We were there over the weekend as well. Any idea why they no longer having it inside the festival hall? Have to say it was very disappointing that it was all outside with hardly any activities for the kids. we were looking forward to seeing Santa but unfortunately we could not find him. Found out he was there, but tucked away somewhere.
We had the same issues! Where was the inside part of this “largest in Chicago display”? It was our first time attending but it still felt like it was lacking. Not really a lot to do once you walked around the dock.
@@EscapadesWithErnie-dogvlog prior to Covid. It was spectacular. They called it Winter Wonderfest and i it was such a magical experience. Inside Festival Hall they had rides, blowup slides, activities, a festival of trees and indoor ice skating rink. Even the Grinch couldn’t walk away without having holiday spirit. Not sure why they took everything outdoors but it just didn’t do it for me this year. We were just happy that it wasn’t a typical cold Chicago day. I don’t even want to think about how cold the air must be coming off the lake on a typical snowy winter day.
Oh man the older version sounds fantastic! I’m bummed it’s gone. Definitely would not recommend this experience on a regular Chicago winter night 🥶
