People say he stole the MVP from Drew Brees in 2008 but if you equalized their total drives, Peyton Manning would’ve had 5,162 yards & 35 TD passes over the same number of drives. The Colts defense was so bad against the run & on 3rd down that the Colts offense had the fewest drives in the NFL every season from 2004 to 2009.
I was at this game.. Sat in the press box .. Just over from Madden and Michaels.. We coulda and shoulda won this game.. This NFL was far superior to the product today. Shoulda never ever fired Marty. Without running his patented “rub route” pick play.. Peyton woulda lost this game. We also left him too much time at the end there. Was still a good game though..
A little fun I get to see the defense start pointing in the same way that the offense starts to point. They should really point to each other throughout the whole game I had to go a little giggle to something that is getting mighty boring when you think beach down will be an effort to get to the next 10 mark

Manning knows all those guys on the other side of the line and their strengths and weaknesses is what he's going to play on maybe this time or maybe next time. Defensive guy has to learn to play to his weakness and then, darn, manning will throw something that players to the guys defense talent. No wonder the defense started pointing at each other also
