Krunch is so op when controlled by the CPU. He doesn't even require to do sharp turns or skid when controlled by the computer. But if you learn how he works, you're chill...except for silver coin challenges, that is. Also, I imagine he must look absolutely hilarious when you're in multiplayer and one of your friends sees you driving as him. He's that character that literally goes the exact opposite direction you turn to, when skidding outward
Using this video as a guide I just barely managed to beat this level after about 15 years of being stuck. To say this course is monstrously difficult would be an unequivocal understatement.
I just beat this level for the first time and it was hard. I recommend not having tiptop or tipsy in the lead but if you can make the computer place krunch as the leader you will find it a little easier because his kart is slower.

Y'all tripping if you think this level was hard. Try it on Adventure 2 if you want a real challenge! The level is backwards, coins are in MUCH harder spots and your opponents are way faster!
I used a GameShark to get all coins on this level, but I still can't come 1st place even when focusing just on pure racing! HOW THE HELL DOES ANYONE BEAT IT WITH THE COINS NATURALLY?!?!?!!
You have to let go of the accelerator when you go over a boost on the ground and it makes you go faster. If you keep holding A while going over them, it won’t boost you as much
This level SUCKS, worst level in any nintendo 64 game EVER in my opinion. The very concept of going around collecting 8 silver coins meanwhile racing all the other racers racing straight past you is complete horse poop, and whoever disighnd the silver coin challenge should be put in jail and tortured with the electric chair, I'm not kidding I HATE THIS TRACK!!! the rest of the game is pure awesome, but for the silver coin challenge, it can drink diarrhea as far as I'm concerned.

You have to complete them.
You need to complete the silver coin challenges for each Domain to battle the domain boss a 2nd time to earn a piece of the Amulet

Took me about 30 tries to complete, weird jump in difficulty compared to the rest of the game.

I struggled more with spaceport alpha
Guess certain levels affect certain people differently.
the strategy guide i have says that only re-tards have trouble with spaceport alpha
