It's so neat to hear all these songs where the inevitable compression was clearly in their mind about what it would sound like when ported to the n64 sound font but I think this is the first time in this ost where I can't hear a lot of tweaking down they had to do to get there. Obviously the instruments are cleaner here, but it's not to the point where it's like 'wow that's what it was supposed to sound like?'
Nintendo really knew its own hardware by then, and it shows. I mean when you understand how the n64 works and what its limitations were, you get to appreciate Paper Mario at a whole new level, this game was an outsanding accomplishment from a technical point of view
Still has thinking that this what it originally sound like judging by how you can hear everything. It sounded great on the n64 so now it sound fantastic hearing the orginal verison
This song is my absolute favourite video game song of all time, when i was a kid I rented it from blockbuster and i heard this, i genuinely got emotional, i asked my mom if she could buy me paper mario and, she agreed only if i got honor roll, and, thankfully i did and i remember playing it so much and having an absolute blast, i recently found a sealed copy as an adult and bought it instantly. I love this game and the series so much. Thank you for the upload!!!
