Nat, thank you for taking the time to share your input to my question regarding my Brittney. It is deeply appreciated. She is such a sweet girl, but my fear, living in the deep woods of WISCONSIN is that is she ever gets loose, we’d never see her again even with her chip! Too many hunters that would love a free Brittney! This is why we must train her to stay and mind. Yes, she sits, lays down, gives hugs snd begs and as cute as all these are, it does not help with her safety. Once again, thank you for taking the time to write. Really enjoy your episodes. Krystyna

You're just up river from my boat. I bought her last year in New Bern but moved her down river to a different marina. New Bern is a cool town with some good restaurants and fun happenings. Who knows but our paths may cross. I would like to meet the dogs.
Which marina did you stop at? If you continue up the ICW, which is likely unless you back track to Beaufort, I highly recommend stopping at Coinjock Marina as they have one of the best restaurants in a marina I've ever been to!
May, do you use e-collars on the dogs? This is my first time with this size, used to having smaller breed which stayed around the house, now with a Brittney ( a hunter and bird dog ) it’s a whole new ball game! She does not like the leash and I worry about her getting loose! Suggestions are appreciated because your kids are do well behaved. Brittneys are the same size as yours. Krystyna in Wisconsin
Awww, Brittneys are amazing! So glad you welcomed one into your family! We personally don’t use e collars but have heard many good success stories with them! These guys hate being on leash….so we got them gentle leaders and those seem to work amazingly. When they are off leash…they def like to hunt but they seem to scared to really ever venture off too far…and they always keep coming back to check in with us. We trained them to come back with a whistle….kirra comes back every time….flint MOST of the time! Haha you win some you lose some! Hahaha best of luck…let me know how the training goes! 🐾🐾
