It's so true that spray bottles disappear when you need them most, and as soon as you buy a new one, the old one magically reappears. I think my parrot is hiding them from me. And yes, smart plugs are such a life saver! My parrot has a full spectrum light that stays on for 12 hours, and it is so nice not having to worry about turning it on or off. Having it turn off automatically also reminds me that it's time to put her to bed, which is wonderful if you're as forgetful as I am.
I like the list, the only thing that I would add to that is a pair of tongs for feeding. Sometimes it's nice to "hand feed" smaller reptiles with tongs and also for holding rats when feeding snakes. Keep up the content, you're killin it!
I slapped the table and yelled out THANK YOU!! for everyone one of those items, but one I think really should be on that list is a temperature gun thermometer. Again not expensive, only like $20 and you really don't need more than one.
@@gavigoldman9659 If you're talking about the smart plug, they come with a link for a smartphone app to control them and set up timers, plus they usually work with both Alexa and Google Assistant.
F10 is made inert by organic material so make sure to spot clean faeces out,for deep cleaning make sure to keep the enclosure wet with f10 while it’s having the contact time :)
OMG, when we first got a beadie, we discovered that the beardie's poop was pure concentrated evil. I can't believe that such a tiny creature made such a huge get-of-the-room-now smell.
The smart plugs are a must! I have some for my aquariums and my beardie. My work schedule is weird and so it's really nice not having to worry about turning the lights on or off at the right time and it helps it stay consistent
The absolute best thing I ever spent money on for my reptiles, was a 2-ft long pair of feeding tongs. It makes feeding the snakes so much easier and makes me feel much safer and more confident.
Smart plugs ar by far the best investment I’ve made for my fish and reptiles. Not only do they make everything really easy to synchronize, but they also work great as an indicator for weather you have electricity while not at home.
every time you get on to your beardie in all of these videos.. it doesn't come off as cutsie funny.... it actually makes me think of how you treat it when off camera.
Literally. The mini fridge. If you only keep a single reptile or two as I do - Ross, Marshalls and Tjmaxx often have cosmetics mini fridges for cheap af. They work well enough, too. Love it!
Adam, One thing I always have at the top of my list is hand sanitizer... No, not for what your thinking though. I have a giant burm, 14 foot, 130 pounds, and hell on wheels... (Thankfully I haven't gotten grabbed by him yet, but not for his lack of trying!) I also have a few larger carpets and have been locked on before by them... Digging the intro Adam. Another gem my friend. Totally agree with what you were putting down. We've got a huge bottle of 2% chlorhexidine and it works like gangbusters. Take care my friend 🇺🇸🇨🇦.
I love how you handled mentioning the gloves. I rescue and rehabilitate reptiles, and I currently have a very aggressive beardie I'm working with, and I NEED gloves to handle him because other methods just aren't working and he's very bitey and that's no bueno.
Fun story about gloves: I got a tokay gecko from a guy who wasn’t taking good care of it. and he called me a wuss for bringing a pair of gardening gloves. He changed his tune pretty quick when he reached into the tank and the gecko attempted to rip his fingers off lol
welding gloves are great for teething puppies and dogs that like to play rough. the dogs realize pretty quick that gloves mean bite time which can also help teach a dog faster to not bite the rest of the time
I'm not saying what you are doing is wrong, I just think there should be some clarification. There's a difference between cleaning and disinfecting. I don't know what the bottle says on the F10. Maybe it's a cleaner and disinfectant all in one...but best practice that I was taught as a vet tech is to clean your surfaces first and like you said Dawn and water will do that job fine. Then once the that's rinsed off, you can spray more lightly with the disinfectant. Also disinfectants need contact time, whatever the bottle says. Then wipe that off. Your disinfectant will last longer and you'll use fewer paper towels b/c you're not trying to pick up dirt and dry off the spray at the same time. Disinfectants work less well in the presence of dirt.
I've been using chlorhexidine for years, a vet grade disinfectant is absolutely a must. Great video! Made me remember...gotta buy a longer snake hook lol
Smart plugs are great, but I usually opt for a mechanical timer switch more often then not because my internet provider can be a mess sometimes and when my smart plugs lose connection because there’s an outage, they don’t cycle properly. Mechanical timer only has an issue when the power goes out, which is a bigger issue overall for reptiles!!
Another thing to add to the F10 thing. So many people use a water/vinegar solution to clean after their reptiles. Vinegar doesn’t remove bacteria/parasites/fungus. If it did we wouldn’t have all of our cleaning products and vets would use that. Use something that is meant for removing bacteria! I’m not talking about the bowls but everything else should be cleaned with something like F10. (That’s what I use)
about the dollar store comments... the only Dollar Store i know of that legit has nearly everything for $1 USD, is called Dollar Tree. every other dollar store, Dollar General, Family Dollar, they have stuff like any other grocery store with a wide range of prices.

Amazing point on the timer being able to go with the sun, ive never felt the need to switch from the normal circle press in ones. Do you just put in your location on whatever app controls it? Sun goes down really early dont you think so little would be bad for reptiles closer to the equator?
I've been misting my terrarium 2-3 times a day so I just bought a mist king. Was going to make my own system but they have a pretty good package for a decent price.
I have the F10 et cleaner for the bearded dragons. You mentioned you just clean up and spray down and wipe up. DO you remove the beardes from the area for 30 minutes. We have two and they both do not poop at the same time.
How do you setup outlets and extension cords? My extension cord sizzled out and I worry it was an issue with how many things were plugged into it and I don’t understand how other reptile keepers do it so easily without worry of it overheating.
Hey bro if you don’t mind I’m having trouble finding a good sanitizer and disinfectant on Amazon. Any recommendations? I’m looking for the one you use but can’t find it.
