Strongly considering trading my drop down bars to a flat bar. Purely for the comfort.
I have the the same back. very comfortable bike and fast
a good laugh over Heol y Cyw being holy cow and I am a Welsh man but that will stick in my head 😂😂,. Lovely video hope to follow in your wheel tracks one day and do the same ride. Great video please do more.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy the videos. If you're local to me, join me for a ride.
@@steveallison3751 I may well join you one day for a ride out, thank you and safe cycling.
I'm comparing the Fastroad to the Trek FX 2 and I got lot out of this video. Regarding the flat bar vs road bar: so many MAMILS are injured on bicycles it's virtually an epidemic. I put this down to the aero drop bars. Not only are they narrower and more unstable, but you have to be able to get to the drops for the brakes. Not good for those "panic" moments so frequently in the real world.
As an old BMX, MTB and Motorcyclist now focussing on road riding, I tried an older Giant OCR road bike with drops, it was certainly fast, but I could just not get comfortable (read confident) on it...
I’m glad the video has helped. The thing I like best about a flat bar bike is the agility and confidence it gives you, especially when negotiating obstacles on a cycle path.
my giant cross cross city rx 0 2013 has 105, fast bike only weighs 9kgs
I have seen your vids a few times. Thank you. My question is would you consider your Fastroad SL 2 to be a fast bike?
I think it is. I run gravel tyres on mine but when I put the road tyres on, it really does perform well.
Great vid! How does the Fastroad SL 2 do on steep hills? Is it a fast climber on steeper hills? How about steep descents...is it stable?
Thank you!
It certainly is stable on descents. I do find it climbs really well but I'm not a great climber on any bike.
Bit Boring 😮
11:46 that truck!!! thank you i really enjoyed watching the bike ride in UK
