- Back again at the world's greatest cycling show - Rouleur Live London 2024.
Quick run around as this year I am actually shopping for a few things at Rouleur Live like a gravel bike, endurance bike, and of course bike fitting.
Bike Fit James had a talk that was pretty darn good and if only confirms the obvious about getting a good fit with the bike. Some ultra-cycling talks with Lachlan Morton and his amazing journey in Australia also were a real inspiration to watch.
Matt Stephens was on form even on crutches this year after his crash in Ibiza ! Pure gent and always a pleasure, Alina Jäger was super nice to meet and it would not be a Rouleur without bumping into Amy and Kyle.

Great stuff =)
Aye, great event this year.
I got there just after midnight and managed to nick about 30 sets of pedals..
Haha all plastic ones though!
He's peddling them off at the local velodrome as we speak.
Where are the younger people? Looks like mostly old or older guys who you know are beyond their prime racing days. What is there at this show that is attracting new upcoming talent? Expensive gifts for dentists is what this looks like.
I can see where you are coming from here, and agree the cycling industry has a lot more to do to bring youngsters into cycling. However what Rouleur Live does is bring together everyone in the cycling industry to celebrate the cycling culture, plenty of young riders here as well as the dentists 🦷 also. I do wish I could afford them expensive bikes also! But I work with what I’ve got.
Shows like this are nothing more than a space for instagrammers to pretend they’re meeting their fans but in reality showcase products as they do normally. That and VIP access for brand partners etc.
The whole bike industry has become a cash cow.
Bike fitting James would be difficult as he has an unusual style/technique , you have to see past an unorthodox technique to fit them.
Bikes are too expensive for young people to get into. Its only a pastime for old lads
Not completely true, you can buy an excellent starter bike from most bike shops to get you started - My Vitus Razer was an bargain and Decathlon do some very competitive pricing also on the starting line up's. Sigmasport for example has a Trek DOMANE AL 2 RIM ROAD BIKE 2024 for a great price of £599. Of course as with anything the more you go into the hobby/sport the more money you can chuck at it - Rouleur Live is a great look at the future of bikes and although some are priced so far fetched for us mortals on 9-5's and avg wages or lower, it can eventually trickle down into that starter bike. No matter what you ride, just getting out and enjoy riding is the point.
Dentists bikes so much over priced BLING nothing more.
Maybe in 2025 we all be in trenches, and bunkers and without cycling hype ; ) Bikes worth thousands od Pounds, but stands absolutelely basic, and still "under constructions" .Brits are not very good exhibition, and fair organizers...
