Man that return of Stage Cam to WWE Games is so cool. Like the Old N64 WWE Games, Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy. I know Smackdown Games on Playstation had that Camera too, but i owned a N64 back in the Days but this gives me Oldschool vibes. :)
I agree. The angle is fantastic. A true throwback. But it’s significantly zoomed out more than the other camera angle. Especially during a 1 vs 1 match
Isn't it the point though, for it to be zoomed out so it feels different and offer a different perspective than the usual angle?? I mean if it was too zoomed in then a lot of people would say that we can barely see the stage/titantron, see what I mean? So in this case they did good.
The simple change of the camera makes a huge difference for me. I’m gonna use this angle for certain match types. It’s the small details that’s making this iteration exciting to play…can’t wait.
The wrestlers are just completely void of their real life personalities, every wrestler has the same stance and movement. They should bring back real life wrestler movements like they did on the early Smackdown vs Raw games, this might as well be Kofi vs Kofi or Seth vs Seth, back in the day playing as Rey Mysterio would feel like you are playing as Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero would feel like Eddie Guerrero, it's not the same. Fanboys will defend it like we used to do in the early 2000's but I feel for you guys defending this. Its like they're wrestling under water, slow motion. Something always feels off, feels flat.
One think I hate about these games now is the grappling. Why do I have to engage in a grapple before doing a move. The opponent could literally be dead, but if I want to do a suplex I have to grapple with him
i bought 2k22 and 2k23, and that is the reason im not buying 2k24 after going back to 19 and im not buying a wwe game unless they remove that feature. i sold my 2k22 and 2k23 and kept my 2k19
The red screen didn't come up there so I am really hoping there's an option to turn this off this year cause it makes the game look too arcade like frfr 😜💯👌
I also really like that they fixed Superkick 4. Anyone notice that in 2K23 that the selling doesn't quite connect and they just fall over in a generic animation? It was fine in 2K22 from what I remember
An ancient feature like a camera angle, and they've finally brought it back. Improves the overal presentation and better than the crowd "hard cam" from TV. It works in real life because the crowd's different every night, but in a game the arena shot is way better.
Yo 101 you got any footage of the collision and hit detections while diving? I’ve watched so many triple threat matches and fatal four ways and I’ve seen zero opponents colliding when dove on. It’s kinda got me worried that this feature is very limited and I hope it isn’t
Additional dollars or not, you sound dumb. This is a camera angle that's been missing and we've been asking 2K for the longest time to add it back to the franchise. It's a classic camera angle, very nostalgic for long time fans of wrestling games. I say Kudos for everyone posting in this camera angle!!! Especially The101 🐐
I need to see tag team and money in the bank matches. Also… which moves make blood? Cause those super kicks and that curb stomp always used to bust the opponent open. Now I’m worried that only weapon shots cause blood.
One thing I like about 2k23 and 24 from what it looks like is the extra weight strikes seem to have when they make contact. Riddle's knee combos are nasty in the game
Probably both. Probably is available as a normal move, too. Super Finishers are just extensions of Finishers. They're aren't a separate thing like table Finishers.

I don't know why there can't be running from behind sigs and finishers. I think that the Running Legdrop Bulldog can be assigned unless they removed it. Lio Rush's Schoolboy Enzugiri can't be assigned for some reason.

When are they gonna change the commentators? I miss different ones for different brands, like in SvR 2010. Were three different sets. Also, Byron hasnt commentated in quite sometime, add Wade and Pat in there WWE :(
But think about how many lines they’ll have to scrap off of Michael playing off of Byron, Michael Playing off of Corey Corey playing off of Byron and vice versa. And think of how many new lines for each wrestler in each position in every scenario, for all of the moves, think about how long that’ll take.
@hoodclassic_nl5382 Compared to the other parts of making a game this would be rather "easy" however it would take time. However being able to choose announcers like you can in like 2k playgrounds would be sick, feels like commentary has been the exact same for years

I’m surprised there’s this many new lines in the gameplay I’ve seen

i just want the AI to be more well rounded do more then a few things... i like seeing the animated move sets more then just the single punches and kicks, they look more real and more real speed, there will always be some wonky stuff cause its a video game, i just hated how in 2k23 it seemed like they kicked out way to much, i know u can fiddle with settings and all, but still, and then when the matches went way to long... it caused ending of matches to be kinda blah cause the wrestlers health was sooo low at that point that almost any move finished them off... the most annoying was when they kick outta a finisher but then get pinned the next pinfall attempt, by some weak move

It's such an immersion breaker as well, no one can call it a little thing. With how good everything else looks and with all the presentation aspects being top notch, the hair sticks out like a sore thumb. I have to skip the entrance of Ivar for example, it's sooo bad. Crazy that they still don't have a fix for this 3 years in...
I don’t see the appeal. The animations are stilted and arcade-y. It doesn’t look like wrestling. It looks like a fighting game that is impersonating wrestling. There is no flow to it. Just spots and clunky grapples and punches that look lame. 🤷♂️

I fkn hate i thst stamina loss does nothing. You dont have slow reactions on the moveset on the movement and on the interactions and permanent damage during the match- no limping, selling the continuos pain you get from the red damage you get. Its just fun but not that fun in this mf age wbere you can do all this stuff and its possible. Its an undersell for worst rrasons.
One thing that I really hate about is why the hell do we ALWAYS have to engage in a grapple hold/facelock before we can irish whip? Why do we need to do those ugly looking combos just slam our opponents? 2k19 was almost perfect. You can straight up do an irish whip and do those light and heavy grapples in an instant. These ugly goofy looking combo system really ruined everything.

Love the variety of moves the CPU is doing. Kofi doing that many springboard attacks is very characteristic of him
