Hello All! I wanted to answer a few common questions in one concise spot, so here we go: - Lionfish - We are familiar with these fish and we spear everyone we can. We know they are supposed to be delicious but sadly (& Happily I guess) we haven't encountered one large enough to eat. - Paddling - We understand how to efficiently paddle a dinghy, but back forward is no fun, you can't see anything...hence why we paddle facing forward. Contrary to popular comments it's not to...ummmm....you know strengthen parts of the body. - Crew Opportunities - We have responded to when in rome peeps. We will be announcing crewing opportunities to our Patreon's first, then we will publish a timeframe for people to apply that wish to come aboard. You'll find way more info on our website and on Patreon in the next couple weeks. - Drone - The drone is still not working sadly!!!! - Timeframe - We filmed this video mid January, AND YES it was -30 in Canada at the time. We will always be behind with our videos, there's no way around it. - Not Happy - Geeze people, you read into this way too deep. Nikki and I absolutely love each other and our new lifestyle. - No Trespassing - We are not going to trespass on property and film it, that would be absolutely the worst idea. We cannot afford a lawsuit. - Not a Daily Blog - We did not just sit and twiddle our thumbs for the days we did not film in the video. This is not a daily vlog, we capture parts of our days when we set out to do fun things, or something exciting happens. Trust me, you don't want to see us sitting in our underwear editing video for 3 days straight. I think that's it for now. As always you will find more photos and things we didn't cover in the video on our website. We put a lot of time and effort into telling a story, providing links to things you may have noticed in the video, and lots of photos. Thanks for being part of the adventure.
You can see just fine when paddling properly, you just need to turn your head around from time to time. Also you are always 2 people on the boat so that's not even an issue. The other one can sit at the back of the boat by the engine, that way he can see forward and also you are facing each other so you can communicate properly. There's a very good reason 99.9% of the people on this planet do it that way. You move 2x faster while spending less energy to do so and it also requires less concentration to move the oars through the water as you instinctively balance them. Just ask any weight lifter and he will tell you that getting the weight of the ground is the easy part, the hard part is balancing it above your head. Pulling is always easier than pushing, that's the way the human body works, you cannot change that. :) Also, if nothing else, if you learn to row the right way, you will not be looking like total noobs anymore to anyone who sees you...
You guys keep doing what your doing! Pay no attention to those who think they know better....cuz if they did they would be doing what you guys are doing and not computer pirates in their basements! Hope to see you guys in the pond soonish! Sail on!
That was an excellent adventure. The sunrises and sunsets were sublime. The island was intriguing. Cleo looked like she really appreciated the "Liberty Call". The blue hole that you found reminded me of the Great Blue Hole off the coast of Belize. Regarding the aircraft, well, you _are_ sailing along the border of the infamous Bermuda Triangle :) Stay safe and thanks for sharing your sailing adventures!
LOL the comments people make Love, love your response. Keep up the good work. Happy safe sailing. Love the videos, no matter what's you're doing I'm just sitting back enjoying them.
Nikki...I don't care how you row. I don't care that we are watching delayed videos. Your videos are always good. Loved your question to the little crab. Loved the cat part...so cute...and I don't have a cat. Always look forward to seeing what you and Jason are up to. Smooth sailing.
Jason & Nikki, loving the unique music in each of your videos. None of that canned, generic noise. It is great to go sailing vicariously through the Bahamas with such a fantastic couple like yourselves.
Honestly you two are so fun to watch....no f bombs or hippie life....it's so refreshing to see two nice people make travel vids together...thanks very much.
The cloudy sky in the first few shots were stunning. Cloudy, rainy weather can be calming and romantic. Pitter- patter of raindrops, roaring thunder, and bright flashes of lightning in the night sky can be beautiful sounds to the ears and lovely sight for the eyes. Thank you for another video full of awesomeness and adventure.
I always enjoy your videos. I am especially grateful for your upbeat attitude and the fact that you keep it clean in a world of trashy sailing videos! Thanks for all your hard work!
Hey guys, I just want to say I loved this episode. You know why? Because everything wasn't "perfect" and we got to be with you as you took each moment as it presented itself. :)
Hey I'm watching this from Edmonton, Canada and it is -13 degrees at the moment. Like the middle child, we are just happy when Canada gets mentioned/attention for anything.
"We read it in History Books", "more like an article she quietly added". Y'all are beyond cute. The happiest most highly functional couple on the web. I love these videos. Today, you are awarded the coveted Internet Prize. Congratulations. 🍾🎉🎈
Just wanted to say that you guys are living our dream. RVing around the US, sailing (hopefully around the world), and just overall enjoying life every day. However you do it, you inspire some of those watching to live vicariously through you and make us figure out how to do it for ourselves. Thank you.
These just get better and better. Jason, I complement you on the art of getting Nikki to paddle. Excellent! I did the same thing on an upstream canoe trip one time (hey, taking pictures requires a lot of concentration!). Barb was, for reasons I've never quite figured out, not amused. Your cats are gorgeous.
wow, amazing sunrise! Wow, that shot of the lobsters! cant' wait to see Nassau!! GL on getting the drone fixed! Love those drone shots! You guys are awesome, love your videos!
I can't believe how much room you actually have inside the hardtop cabin! I guess you have pretty much a full kitchen in there, a table, etc... very homey, good cozy place to spend a cool, rainy day! BEST part of the video, the sunset scene on the stern!! Man! Would have given my left-big-toe (it's the worst one) to be sitting there in the warm wind, smelling the fried shrimp & coconut and vaping an Indica G-pen, getting ready to look for satellites, meteorites and UFO's !!
Jason, I have to say that you have always shown a level of respect to Nikki. I've watched a great number of your videos on Utube. Have enjoyed them all so much. Nikki you are amazing your character adds so much to each and every video. I can safely say that you are becoming the Audrey Hepburn of the seas. As I am approaching 79 years with 10 years of sailing under my belt I'd love to sail with you. So I will be an avid follower in the future. You bring a lot of joy to an old cat man. Keep up the good work. May the Gods be with you.
Love your vlogs!! Wish you had more but I understand how difficult it is to produce, edit and download. But youse guys are a wonderful couple, may God bless you and your family!!!
Thanks for taking us along. It is what you make it. Glad you were able to get off the boat and get some exercise...Makes me want to read Two Years Before the Mast, arrgh.
Loved seeing Singa get to stretch his sea legs on land and go on that walk. I’ve been training my cat to walk with his harness out in the streets since he was a kitten but he’s nowhere close to how Singa looks comfortable doing it!
Whilst you’re celebrating your anniversary and awaiting your new cat, I’m bingeing your original videos from sailing ⛵️. Keep sharing your adventures with us please
As a group of family and friends used to say at Lake Powell which was our second home... Oh hum... another day in paradise. Enjoying your adventures as usual.
As time has passed your video making and editing skills continue to evolve, excellent work bravo. I have experienced an evolution of my own, watching the sunrises and sunsets vicariously through you has taught much in my personal perspective of life. Thank you
Love you both. So brave traveling into the unknown. My husband and I have had many outdoor adventures together, but you both have3 started much younger. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures via RV and Boat.
We get the whole frustration. On our shake down cruise last month, we were stuck in the boat most days, but we still got our to explore. And yes, Good coffee! We will need to invest in one of those coffee makers. (Being from Texas we just feel ya on all your coffee needs) Yes, we want to go to the Blue Hole! Thank you again for your kindness at the Miami boat show. Hope you love your new earrings Nikki. Can't wait to see all the places you go. We are getting prepped to go to the Bahamas. ~ Chris, Jolene, Carter, Chase and Caleb
Your bad weather is 100 times better than our weather here in Idaho. With that said I do understand what your saying. Bahamas are suppose to be sunny and warm. Thanks for the video. Keep having fun.
Still looks like paradise to me...but as you probably can guess I'm one of those Canadians eh. I have to admit I was laughing when you said the water temps and were putting on the wet suits. Man is your cat well trained, very impressive! Favorite part of the video was when you were both paddling together, smiling and having fun. :) More please!!!
That was a stingray, not a manta. Manta Rays have protrusions in front that loosely resemble horns, which earned them the nickname of "Devil Ray" a long time ago. Very cool to see though. I love your videos. You have inspired me to work toward a similar lifestyle, and leave the rat race behind. It might take me a while to get there, but worthy goals are not reached overnight. Cheers from the East Dallas area!
So, I've been binge watching during the rainy season here in Mexico, and I am obsessed. I love your videos; you're living my dream! (I grew up on the big waters, and always wanted to live on a sailboat.) Thanks so much for sharing your journey (and the details of how you financed it). Maybe there's still a chance for me. Now, back to another video!
I love the videos. I just came in from shoveling 22" of snow -7 below 15 mi wind.It is nice to see that some one is warm. I try to think of some were that I do not have to have a block heater plunged in Oder to start the car.keep making the videos.
Looks like your having a great time, very jealous I always love it out there. For information the DC3 or what is left of it is down off Normans cay in the Exumas. Stay safe.
Another awesome video. Watching you two always makes me smile. I love the connection that you have and getting to see the kitty get some land time made my day!! They both really love the grass, I could send you some cat grass, just add water and it grows. Is is possible to send you guys a care package or just go on Patron? ^..^ ^..^ BTW, row that boat any darn way that you want! LOL
It's amazing that Nikki's the one that likes to drive the small boat fast but Jason's the one that hasn't the patience to do things correctly (drone). I'm allergic to alcohol externally & internally & I do not rely on external stimulants (coffee or alcohol) to mellow myself out. The mind is the controller of emotions & feelings & if you use it wisely, you will be better off. Relax & enjoy what you two have made for yourselves. The time to get excited is when you took the footage of swimming with the whales!!!!! Otherwise take life slow, easy, calculating & enjoy yourself.
haha - as soon as you took that bottle out I knew it was from the Bruery - heck - I love their stuff and its super hard to get in Australia, but kudos to you both for sticking with the Barley Wine (or I think it's called Barley Wine Style Ale in the US)
1973 snorkeling off St John fish were everywhere. I broke open a sea urchin and was engulfed by fish. FF to 2010 and fish are scarce and no sea urchin to be found. Coral is gone for the most part. What a difference in 40 years
This is my favorite episode thus far!!!:) I cant believe how easily you got your cat in the carrier. I took my cats on an hour road trip and one started drooling while the other peed on himself!!:( You guys are awesome!!:) FYI I found you by searching sailing with a cat!! Of course youtube thought I meant Catamaran lol!!:) I truly would be an awe if I ever met you guys!! If you ever want to make the rough journey to Vancouver Island give me a holar!!!:) Its beautiful but a little on the chilly side!!:) No Edmunton though!!!:) You are truly my heroes!!:)

I gotta say that I admire you guys for really exploring the Bahamas, not just hit one or two islands then shove off to Turks and Caicos and the Dominican Republic. You are really seeing as much of the Bahamas as humanly possible and I love coming along for the ride. PS. Look for the crew of the SV Sandflea that should be in your area. A fun couple with a most precocious child I believe you'd enjoy the company of.
Great video. Guys drop the 7 mm suits with no weights, go to a 3 mm one piece good fitting, you're in 21 degrees C, add 2 x 1 lb weights and enjoy the snorkeling, freedom and fun.
fyi, for the quadcopter if its just updating take the props off! you need to treat it as though the motors could start to spin any second. My rule of thumb is inside props off or battery out.
Think its time for a little underwater camera drone... ROV? :) Or tie an action camera to a weight, zip tie on a flashlight, and a long piece of string!
the scenery is just beautiful. the sunrise and sunset is so spectacular the each time it is incredible. sorry that the weather did not agree to dive or snorkel but taking the kitty to the island had to be fun. that cat is amazing. since you have left the motorhome do you ever wish that you were back? this is fun going with you on your cat. to see islands I will never see other wise. thank you for taking me along with you. stay safe and happy trails. Joyce
We started watching when you started looking for a boat and to be honest, I thought it may be entertaining to watch a couple of clueless (sailing experience) yuppies screw up. Instead you've made good decisions and did it right. We grew to like you both and wish the best for you. I'm glad you're a success story on doing it right instead of another poorly planned failure. Thanks for entertaining and informing us.
Here in the Central Valley of Cali we do have the Mexican Cartel members who rent the properties out in the Orchards. During the day they are quiet but late at night they are active. The property next door to us was one for a couple of years. Lots of motorcycles at night were coming and going. They never bothered us nor us them. Then one day a dozen Sheriffs cars showed up and they were gone. All that they left was a fairly new white Mercedes, just abandoned. The Sheriffs Deputies asked if we knew what was going on at the house, we told them lots of motorcycles at night., lots of outside lights on, but during the day they were quiet.
it's so funny when all anyone can do is type up what 'they would have done'.. Well, you weren't there at that moment in time and anyone can be an armchair quarterback and say "I would have done this or that.." Good job Wynns and keep up the adventure!

It's encouraging to hear that you don't always have a plan or adventure ahead, just getting off the boat to stretch your legs is good.
Thank you
Jason! When Nicky says "it's going to be beautiful" I was waiting for you to say "just like you!" 😀.
Todd Reimer she SO is! They make a beautiful couple
thats for some reason they remind me of bro & sis instead of b/f g/f she has bigger balls than he does , enough said
I was thinking at 5:00 ish you guys were about to be swept up in a Clive Cussler novel! Good times! Greeting from Amarillo,TX
Love you both. So brave traveling into the unknown. My husband and I have had many outdoor adventures together, but you both have3 started much younger. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures via RV and Boat.
Veggie burgers & wine and a sunset on the water, heck yeah! Sounds quite romantic! So... when are you two gonna make some miniatures?
Every time you say the water's chilly, it reminds me of Korbee, to which you introduced us. We'll always be grateful for that. Cheers.
man that shot of you guys sitting looking at the sun going down. wow really nice.
I like how you made this episode. You showed more adventures and scenery with voice overs.
yes! We have an RV and love adventure, plus we are very happy people just like The Wynns! We have no shame in our game!
Glad to see Zinga enjoying the island trip also. If only he could talk. Such a good kitty. I could never get any of ours to just walk into a carrier.
~ Chris, Jolene, Carter, Chase and Caleb

moving back to Florida soon, you guys have inspired me to further adventure, and I miss the scuba diving!
More please!!!
You guys should know that these videos are absolutely nuts! Uh-mazing!
BRAVO Hawke!!
You two setting on the rear entry steps looked......really nice.
You do a good job! To seeing you it is always, good tunes and the feeling that good tunes on horizon...! Thx for that 😎! Greatings from Germany !

I love your channel. You are living my dream. I also love Nikki's hair. I would like to see a video of her cutting it herself.
that plane was quite the find...love it
I like your style; drone doesn't work, drink wine. 👍😉
Thanks for the interesting tour of these islands.
Great coffee *_every_* morning... good or bad.
AGREE!!
I'm just like Jason when I see an abandoned building, I want to check it out! :-)
Great video. Life if not always perfect on the water.

Is is possible to send you guys a care package or just go on Patron? ^..^ ^..^
BTW, row that boat any darn way that you want! LOL
Looked like one happy cat
Actually a heat warning here in Canada today, 07-15-2018, but even that is a non-event at 84F.
Oh--the kitty loved the walk!!
Love your videos keep it up always happy to see new videos put some more ads in your vids you deserve the extra money

Thanks for the video guys!
Thanks for the new vid! 👍🏻😍
The cat is getting very comfortable on the boat.
At 10:36, a Cat is the perfect boat for a couple, his and hers hulls.
Thank you that I have learned a little about sailing from you two!
If you want to get a feel for how the drug trade worked in the Bahamas & Caribbean there are quite a few biographies by smugglers on Amazon. Norman's Cay was apparently the biggest island for this.
Try:-
Snowbird by William Norris
Buccaneer by MayCay Beeler
Blow by Bruce Porter
Turning the Tide by Sidney D. Kirkpatrick and Peter Abrahams
Thanks for the recommendations since we're doing a lot of reading these days.
Love your wild kitty! :D.
Great video. Guys drop the 7 mm suits with no weights, go to a 3 mm one piece good fitting, you're in 21 degrees C, add 2 x 1 lb weights and enjoy the snorkeling, freedom and fun.
How's the fishing been around the islands? How much fish do you eat to supplement your diet and shopping?
Great job guys!
fyi, for the quadcopter if its just updating take the props off! you need to treat it as though the motors could start to spin any second. My rule of thumb is inside props off or battery out.
Awww Singa is adorable.
The aircraft looked interesting and the Barley Wine was frothier than I expected!
So cute cat on a leash🐈🇨🇦
as long as you are moving forward and going the way you wanna go, u aint doing it wrong....just different is all...........
It was only -3 in Montreal, Qc Canada which is really strange for this time of year... but I'm not complaining!🙂
Think its time for a little underwater camera drone... ROV? :) Or tie an action camera to a weight, zip tie on a flashlight, and a long piece of string!
Too bad so windy, looked like a good flats fishing spot.
the scenery is just beautiful. the sunrise and sunset is so spectacular the each time it is incredible. sorry that the weather did not agree to dive or snorkel but taking the kitty to the island had to be fun. that cat is amazing. since you have left the motorhome do you ever wish that you were back? this is fun going with you on your cat. to see islands I will never see other wise. thank you for taking me along with you. stay safe and happy trails.
Thanks for sticking with us.
Awesome video as usual :)
Great video!!
I dove the blue hole in Belize with scuba gear and a guide and it was amazing
But grateful for company when there's a danger of nitrogen narcosis:)
it's so funny when all anyone can do is type up what 'they would have done'.. Well, you weren't there at that moment in time and anyone can be an armchair quarterback and say "I would have done this or that.." Good job Wynns and keep up the adventure!
I feel your pain with the internet, we live on a Island and some weeks it takes a couple of hours to watch your videos😎
