This _might_ actually go over the heads of at least a few people on the Right.
Much of the language and arguments used is identical to what you'd hear on Fox News.
Nah they're famous for their media literacy
@@ninjalectualx you made ginger beer come out my nose😂
Guaranteed
I'd say there is no "might" about it. Remember just how many people _actually, honestly believed_ that Stephen Colbert was a conservative and was being sincere with _The Colbert Report?_ I cannot even imagine the level of denial and/or stupidity required for that, and yet it was an _extremely_ common belief amongst conservatives at the time the show aired (in fact, the reason I even thought to bring this up is because just the other day I stumbled across an old article online, from around 2008 I think, about how Colbert was _so obviously_ a genuine conservative and his show was fully in earnest, just slightly exaggerated for comedic effect.)
Jesus, this is literally how Fox talks. This is frightening.
Right? Like all good satire, it's hilarious and deeply disturbing.
The only way to tell this isn’t actually Faux News, is because they’re not actually yelling.
How funny and sad would it be if one of the righties actually thought this was real?
I mean, isn't it basically real? It's hardly removed enough from their actual coverage to be called parody.
They are probley sharing this among face book now praising the new fox host..
@@jasonrollins8217 while trying to figure out why he doesn't come up on their bing search.

The only thing that’s off about this is the way that guy brags about his role in J6. I feel like an actual Fox News correspondent would try to downplay that these days.
My co-workers would believe this is real.
The only way this could be more accurate is if the Fox host was drunk and screaming incoherent conspiracy theories.
Or at least if Janine "Box Wine" Shapiro were there slurring her words.
Yeah where is judge "box wine" ?
Still sounds way too polished and articulate for Fox "News"...
Agreed, missed the part where some guest speaker says "but but but!" While talking over everyone
They forgot to blame Biden for fattening the earth.
Give them time.
And how they're outta ciggies.
Sure, they've never smoked in their lives. But Biden still swiped their smokes dammit!
The headline for me is "how dare you fire the person we fired last month!" If you think she's so great, YOU find a job for her.
The sad thing is that you know that somewhere in right-wing media, they made a very close facsimile, if not a straight-up carbon copy, of everything in this video to present as actual news.
Friends don't let friends watch "Faux"
I just realised why the anchor and White House correspondant look so similar: they're father and son, with junior getting one of the most prestigious jobs for a journalist through nepotism. Thank goodness it's only a satire, that could never happen in real life.
THAT shouldve been part of Steve's script for this skit!
April 1st joke! Steve switched out his normal satire and instead just read clips from "fair and balanced."
Sometimes I have to remind myself this is a parody of right wing media. I don't know how to feel about that. 😐
Seems much like many of us you're tired of the outright lies they get to freely present instead of facts.
You know it's a good video when the final joke is such a home run
Me walking in on our parents watching the Fox News when I was a kid: "Uhk.. sooo boring... news...."
Our son walking in on us watching Steve make a perfect impression of FN: "Uhk.. soo boring.... news..."
All the conspiracy fallacies- the president does not write the laws, choose who is hired or fired, or tell corporations how to set prices.
The David Duke drop at the end made me laugh/cough.
And the Obama/ bridge joke that led to it
Spot on and what they said was even more deranged. One Fox host said (about MSNBC hosts disagreeing with their executives) something to the effect of, "If someone said this at Fox News they would be walked out the door. This is enormous insubordination." To which another replied, "Who at your network represents the 47.6% of the country that tells pollers 'We support Trump'."
The brain of the right-wing is always divided. The left side of the brain has nothing right and the right side of the brain has nothing left.
This is sorta like The Onion Vs Actual Headlines. The absurd has become so commonplace, satirical works have no punch.
This is more documentary than satire. The Onion can't even compete with reality.
This has me wondering about how Fox news trains their viewers on the "talking points." My right-leaning (Fox fans) family and friends tend to say - to the sentence structure - the same political 'worries.' And these people don't know each other. My left-leaning friends tend to have differing concerns. And don't use the same catch phrases when discussing related concerns. Even when it's about the orange baboon.
They put a lot of effort into that training don't they. Hell they even train them to believe it's everyone else who is brainwashed. Although I've come to notice that projection seems to be a natural human defense mechanism. People will tell you more about themselves when they aim to attack others than they realize.
It is impressive what you are able to say with a straight face.
The greatest satire is virtually indistinguishable from reality.
Wheee!
Yah, now that I'm retired, I watch NSNBC 24-7.
Friends don't let friends vote Republican. You just can't believe a word they say.
MSNBC beats NSNBC everyday!
Do yourself a favor. Turn off the 24/7 news. While being informed is good, too much of it degrades your mental health.
All of the videos you do in this series are simultaneously sad and funny at the same time. Keep it up. Great job.
"David Duke" Italian cheff's kiss at that ending! 🙌🙌🙌😂😂😂
Brilliant!
“…Which is technically our competitor. Or they would be, if we were not actually classified as entertainment, on the advice of our legal department. Thanks, Jerry.”
Wait, I thought this was supposed to be satire.
Republicans level of actual ridiculousness has created an unreasonable barrier of the necessary exaggeration to appear as satire. Now even the most embellished presentation just looks like a word for word recreation of their own nonsense.
That's one the modern republican goals, make satire and real life indistinguishable.
You forgot all the mock outrage of someone daring to question their boss. How dare the workers question their fox king.
I guess you had to cancel the segment of interviews at a local restaurant filled with completely random strangers after they were all fired by Lara Trump?
That satire was savage! Thank you!
Taking an actual Fox News clip and making us think we're watching satire! Great April Fools prank, Steve!
Has there been any studies to prove a correlation between believing in the Flat Earth Conspiracy theory and being a Republican?
Oh yes! It was published in the
same year that they made that study about the correlation between the amount of functioning neurons and the amount of hours one spends watching the Murdoch propaganda every day. The most peculiar thing is, the results of BOTH studies were the same short sentence: "Correlation 100%."
Man, you are doing it. Sometimes youre so accurate in the bufoonery its scary.
If I showed this to my co-workers they would believe every word without questioning a single statement. 🤦
This seems a bit too articulate and polished for Fox.
Nice try. But that was still too fair and balance by Fox News standards!
Last time I was this early the Francis Scott Key Bridge stool tall like so many of our most important statues
Steve is really good at this!!!💙
That already is way more elaborate and introspective dialogue, than I have seen on any right wing media show…
Aaaaaany day now.
You sir are hilarious. Thank you. 🤣
I appreciate the clever script, props, all-around effort👍
It's sad that this could have been aired on *any* day of the year. The worst is, it's not even parody, that's exactly how they spew their lies.
Yes Faux Newz via Steve? Hey you rOk! Spot on! ❤🎉
I don't think this is sarcastic enough...I could see Trump supporters actually liking this.
Thank You Steve!!
It’s sad how close to reality this conversation would actually be on Fox News, in a non-ironic way.
Real missed opportunity for that ticker tape to say, 'Nation still loyal to trump, just Biden its time'
I had a dream recently where Steve was explaining the phenomenon of Discourse by way of Star Trek, it devolved into sending Data away and threatening the same fate onto Jordie before the dream ended and now here we are.
FOX should stick to what they're good at... Cancelling beloved, highly rated TV shows
Great work! On point all the way.
Nothing hates like christian love
I always wondered if Steve occasionally gets messages from Conservatives praising him?
I thought The Whirlpool would have been great Republican Bait.
Nailed it!😊
Shilling a ringtone in 2024... It fits.
1st.......Excellent as always Steve
I love your hair, hope you win!
Wow, close your eyes and turn To fox. You won't notice the change.
This is too real man...
Im so impressed by that rug on your head❤ what, more than one color? That's too much diversty!
This somehow gets *way* more amusing if you’re only half-listening to it (like most patrons of FOX “News” do)
I'll have to listen a second time, because I was laughing so hard I couldn't hear what Steve was saying half the time. The scary thing is that it's not over-the-top. I only wish this was an exaggeration.
Great vid
That Fox News Channel logo is more accurate than the original. Sad but true.
I just got a clqser look.
Subtle. Well played, Steve.
Yes! 🎉
I’m switching to Newsamx.
I hear they’re interviewing Michael Whirly there.
Sadly, not inaccurate.
Yup. That's mainstream reporting, ok.
This must have been so freaking stressful to write. I can only imagine your hands shaking as you write more and more only-too-realistic pieces of horrific moronory, cringing at the grotesque horror of it. And yet ALL of this is exactly what we get from Fox News, with just a few thin layers of spin and prevarication on top.
You’re a little too good at this 😂
I... I don't know how Steve manages to say any of this without vomiting in his mouth just a little.
Oh yeah, I wouldn't bost about Fox's news audience it isn't as large as you might think. It's only about 1.5 to 2.0 million people. In a country of 340 MIllion poeple that isn't really that big; especially when you realize that Cable is dying with the advent of cord cutting.
It's either really easy or really hard to parody Fox News. Really easy because you can just take what they actually say and only slightly exaggerate it. Really hard because even slight exaggerations sound completely friggin' nuts.
So, why did you just decide to re-upload a fox news video this week? Didn't even edit it.
Hey man! Can you man a video about you KNOW: how did the earlier part of the 2010s started GREAT and HAPPY but in the final/ later part of the 2010s They were only SAD and DARK?
Great googly moogly, steve. How can you fit that many buzz words in 1 script?
You're too good at this. You sure Maryland isn't part of the south?
I'm terrified by the fact that this isn't an April Fools joke video. Just satire as usual.
The joke comes from the fact that it ISN’T exaggerated in any way.
Compare this to Steve’s “If Republicans Were Honest” sketches. This is too straightforward.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha 👍 😂 😄 😆 🤣 😀 👍 😂 spot on..........unfortunately 😂
5:53 Awh - and here I was ready to see you impersonating a creature masquerading as a human - David Puke
Steve this is way too subtle - Fox is gonna call up soon, say you remind of them of Colbert before he sold out, and offer you a show.
Or threaten a copyright violation lawsuit for verbatim appropriation of their programming. Seriously, Steve could have written this script entirely with lines spoken on FOX, contextualized them by identifying the source, and delivered the exact same message. The space between reality and irony - what's needed for the useful application of the latter - has now nearly vanished. That's how self-contained and nutso FOX's world narrative has become.
Satire lost something when it got real
It's not parody when it's true.
This reminded me far, far too much of clips of Russian state television.
This is hilarious😂😂😂
This is hilarious!
Only a slight exaggeration
I love these things. I want it to be parody, but these days... 👀
That was funny.
Lol!
Not really a spoof, is it?
Be warned Mr Shives, you're so credible as a right-wing journalist you may attract Newsmax or Fox News! 😂
Parody is dead when the parody becomes indistinguishable from reality. Barely 15-20% of that was “quiet part out loud.” The rest was just what they say anyway. US is f#(&€d.
Gonna be honest, I didn't even realise it was you until I clicked on it. Thought it was TYT, or BTC, or Meidas or something. Nice one, and some great lines in there, made me laugh and it's pretty accurate as a spoof. Also, bye bye Rona, not sorry you're gone. She's just another lying right-wing grifter let's be honest.
LOL
Unfortunately, satirical musings are overtaken by a more outrageous reality.
Entertaining for sure, but entirely too articulate, organized, coherent, and sophisticated to be the real Fox Propaganda.
Now you're getting lazy and just transcribing actual FQX "News" broadcasts.🙃
It' so sad that what is clever satire will be taken as dead serious by way to large a percentage of the population.
I enjoy these skits, but the implications are pretty sobering when you think about them.
That's why they are simultaneously fun to watch and important information.
Many thanks for your work.
FQX News is truly the people’s voice!
