Paddy played it low key, got a win, and managed to stay out of his own way... which is good. Kind of made people forget about his last PR disaster. I think he is now where he should be. That is an interesting fighter, entertaining guy, that has a certain value but is not in the top 15 yet and should be judged and hyped accordingly.

The absolute best thing that happened to paddy was that there was another Irish dumb ass who made an even bigger and dumber move in the media than him lol. Granted yes paddy did do everything right but i also think the average mma fan is too busy making fun of Ian Garry or Colby right now to give paddy too much attention. A lot of people (myself included) expected paddy to win and I think the only negative that could’ve come from this for paddy was to possibly lose.

Paddy looked/acted more serious this fight. For the first time he improved between fights and did a great job helping his PR. He said he contacted Benoit Saint-Denis to train with him, thats the smartest thing for improvement in his game.

That wasn't Paddy's worst performance. That was Paddy's level. I'm from Liverpool, I'm a scouser, and we all love paddy here. Not because he's going to smash Justin, or out wrestle Islam, but because he's real. He's exactly like every other scouser you see walking about our city. He's every one of us, but he's made it to the ufc. Scousers will support him no matter what, like we did with till. Its going to be a rough day when they put someone like chandler in there with paddy. But we will all be behind him. Liverpool is a relatively poor city, but the people here would help anyone with anything. Very friendly place. We just enjoy football and fighting. Side not paddy's new fight hair, I called that the last fight, the hair flying about makes it look like he's been hit harder than he has. The cornrows actually worked. When I was 14 I trained mma in wolfs lair. The same gym as michael bisbing. Still remember him going onto the ultimate fighter. What a legend. My little part of England creates a lot of decent fighters. Even Tom aspinal trained here.

Thats a great take... I don´t agree its his worst perfomance though, that was when he lost his cagewarriors title to Soeren Bak. He lost that because his wrestling skills weren´t on par with Baks, so this one actually shows how far he has come, compared to his worst perfomance.

Dan Gable is one of the true pioneers of mat wrestling. Everything Uncle Chael said abput Dan Gable is correct! True FACTS! Excellent content, Uncle Chael!
In my opinion, most grappling sports are still the best and rawest form of Marial Arts! No matter if it's mat wrestling, BJJ, Sambo, etc. Just about all forms of grappling are exceptional!👍

He was not bad, it was a decent performance, dominated a legend ( but 39 years old and with both feet into retirement).
I am not sure he can go pretty high, now he should have a big challenge to see if he is capable of doing something better.
he seems like a nice guy thought, decent lad.

I felt like for a minute he felt compelled to fill that role and in some ways try to be Conor. He realized really quick he just needed to be Paddy. I like him. Corn rolls look a lot better than a Prince Valient too but that's superficial. I think he's been judged a little harshly on his ability. He may or may not be a world beater, but I'm interested. I want to see where this goes.

Personally, Paddy seems like an alright guy. I wish he spoke English. As a fighter I thought he looked extremely sloppy on the feet. When they say he keeps his chin up, they aren't joking. The dude all but looks at the ceiling. If he faced a Poirier, Gaethje, Oliveira, or Makelchev, I am very confident they would piece him up. You say there is nothing you saw that stops him from being a world champ. I think he will never be serious competition in the top 5.
