    I have placed 3 of these now since Wally posted a video. I like them so far! I am considering try to have a built in seating guide on the occlusal.

    Is it possible to re-set the default numbers in Mesh Mixer? Trying to set a constant default number for model wall thickness to 3 mm. It always starts at 2mm. Every model I do I need to reset to 3mm. Thank you for all these great Mesh Mixer videos!

      Nope. At least not that I've been able to find. Annoying that the preferences are pretty minimalist in MeshMixer.

      @@bgrutterdds True. Being a small lab, just a few simple pre-set adjustments would save a little time. Short, me, from LA. Moved to the forest in Vida Oregon in 92. Ortho only, most all FedEx and UPS in and out. Printing models has saved a lot on shipping costs. Covid was very helpful as it gave plenty of time to learn all needed for resin printing models. I have 5 Epax printers. (X10)

      @@bgrutterdds Is there another program you might suggest for just basing models? I get stl files emailed to me.

      @@orthodudeness yeah, BlueSkyPlan is the most efficient. Not as easy on the trimming and cleanup, but you can get pretty quick. Adding a base takes 1 button click. If you like hollow models, also just 1 button. Hard to beat that simplicity.

    Thanks for the video. If we just placed pads on the canines and bonded to the canines only, do you think that Onx has the flexural strength to resist fracture?

      I do not. Most people that are doing this are using OnX Tough, I understand. I'm not currently doing them, the video was just for demonstration since people were looking for options on design. However, I would not recommend doing it at all for a 3-3 (canine-canine) fixed retainer. That definitely needs to be metal in my opinion.

    Dr. Grutter, have you ever tried this on the upper centrals? I placed one this week but the bridge connecting the teeth broke. I'm wondering if I should go over the incisive papilla so it can be thicker but not get in the way of occlusion.

      Honestly, I'vestill not seated one. Like I said in the video, I was only making it as informational for those that would like to. I have a case coming up that I might use it on, but I'm a larger user of removable retainers rather than fixed.

    Hi do you have any idea how we make tunnel on the resin printed retainer that we can add wire in the retainer to make the retainer mor resistant

      Since AWs have sharp edges, it would be very difficult. Also, printing such a small lumen would be most likely to be occluded.

    Do you know a suitable material from Formlabs by any chance? I have formlabs printers.

      That's tough to say. I believe they have a definitive Crown bridge resin. Possibly white labeled from Bego? I would think that would be your best bet.

      Same as with traditional fixed retainer. Etch, Bonding Agent, and Bracket cement
