i have to mention that the very first video i saw before i started my tshirt an tumbler journey was one of your videos. you are such a good teacher and an isnpiration to me
Hey Sallie, I have the same press and use the 30oz tumblers, however if you cut the top off the paper straight on the bleed line and flip the cup upside down on your table then flip your print upside down on the table and wrap it that way your print will line up perfectly every time and it is a little simpler, also I never need to wrap the top or bottom and have done this for several months with perfect tumblers every time. I also put the tape on one side of the paper and pull it really tight to the other side. Hope you find this useful!
@@Christine.505 According to Heat Press Nation, adjust the two front knobs until the round plastic pieces (look under the press) touch the heating element. Then adjust the 2 black knobs.
Sallie, Sallie…. You are the best! My husband purchased me a cricut maker, however it’s still in the box. Due to me watching your videos over and over again… 😅 He stated “You should know how to do everything Sallie does because you watch her so much” I stated: “ No not quite, I’m still studying and taking notes😭 So I am going to attempt to make something… not sure what… but I’m sure if I don’t make something soon my husband is going to band me from UA-cam…🤣 Thanks for all the information you share!
@@maryjo5397 I did a lot of research on printers for sublimation and I went with Epson SC-f170, from LexJet. Between searching and reading online and watching Jennifer Makers video on sublimation printers the SureColor seem to be the best deal for $, time setting up. I bought Hippo sublimation ink. I literally just got it in the mail. I haven’t even opened the box up yet! Whatever you end up going with make sure you don’t fill the ink with regular ink!!! Make sure you buy sublimation ink. I hear a lot of people talk about the 2 different brands Hiippo and Jack. I went with the Hiippo brand.
@@aliciat2216I Absolutely LOVE mine. The Epson Ink that comes with the F170 is true sublimation and it's Amazing ink. Only ink I use for one my warranties but also because it's great!
My convection oven came in. So did my tumblers and other supplies I needed. Now I just have to pic the designs. LOL. There are so many options. I want to get a tumbler press. So much quicker. But a friend brought her oven over and we tested it out and it was a good easy entry since the oven was only $109. Now I can test my market.
Dear, if u have a lot of tumbler to make, press is a bettere choice and also it turns out usually better with a press. by the way, we sell our presses at $187 ea
Thanks so much! 😊 you would just need a sublimation printer or a printer converted to sublimation. I have a few videos where I converted one, and I also have a sawgrass sublimation printer as well.
Totally agree on the h.p.n heat press. I bought/used another off brand prior to buying it and boy is there a difference! You don’t really know there is unless you’ have another to compare it to. I’m guessing the difference is the 4 point pressure on there’s where everyone else’s is only a 2 point. It’s an expensive machine but it’s worth every penny. There’s no way I would have not been able to tape the top/bottom on the others!
I ordered one from Peachtree and hoping it comes anyway. I am use a Cricut mug press now to make my tumblers and you get ghosting at times grrr. So can't wait for my press to come. I got the heat tape and tape dispenser from heat press nation I love it. Nice big rolls and it seems to last longer than the amazon stuff. I just switched to it and it wasn't too bad so you may want to check that out.
I noticed The machine comes with two sleeves: one for mugs (up to 15 ounces) and one for skinny tumblers. What do you use if you want to make larger mugs, curved tumblers, or other odd-sized drink ware? Are there heatpress accessories available for these types of blanks?
Do you have a video that goes into details about how to print and get the printer to print tbe sizes you put in. I put in 9.3 x 8.2 but when it actually prints out, it’s less than that, therefore not fitting my Tumblr. I’m completely stomped on how to fix this.
Question I have made a fee of these following the steps but I have not sold any yet because I noticed that with normal uses they tend to scratch. Not sure what I'm doing wrong...
Ok, I need to know, because I went back and watched the mug video too. Do sublimation items have to have a special coating? I noticed your wood circles did, the mugs did, and I was unsure about the tumblers.
I have tried to do this but the 1st one had a line where it joins and the 2nd attempted was better but a small part was missed where the tape was holding it in place. What am i doing wrong 😢
Question! How do these wash up? Is there a setting with this press to use the larger tumblers that aren’t uniform in size? ie the Yeti rambler. Thank you!
So i wanna start making them bc they look amazing gonna sound completely lost but what paper is It and where does everyone suggest to get It and what printer requirements are needed for clear image
Thank you for your video. I have not done this yet but I did purchase the cuts. My question is do I have to use any special ink and paper for my printer? Can I use my standard Epson inkjet printer. Or do I have to buy a new printer with special ink!
Hi, I was watching your videos and I Saw the sheets you used in the thomblers. Can u tell me where to find those sheets of Flower and valentines heart? I would love to do some tumblers and cup with those sheets.
3rd time? That’s awesome!!! I have made around 30 already y around 7-8 were a disaster, my issue is the bleeding at the bottom 😤 and I have mar 2 red ones, totally trash 😡 I was told “the film was not tight enough, which it’s an incorrect statement, I tried again (with red) and if happened exactly the same 😭 i don’t“sealed” the butcher paper, I’ll try that next
I tried to make a tumbler yesterday. I printed out the image on my Epson ET2850 (using only sublimation ink...Hilpoo) and the blacks came out lite and then I pressed it. I didn't use butcher paper. THe press I have the larger tumbler didn't fit (all they had at Michaels and these were a test). The sublimation paper stuck to the bottle and had to run it under water. The black was very dull and slight blueish. A friend said that can happen if you over bake. (I ran them at 360 but for about 3 mins.) Thanks for the great video....going to try again.
Hello. I love your videos and have watched quite a few of them since buying my Thunder Laser. I am asking this question here only because you seem to be well-versed in many maker areas and a search didn't turn up too much. I have a friend who has a silicone pint glass that he got from a brewery and had the brewery's logo on it. I thought it was pretty cool so I started looking online for how to put logos on silicone products and didn't see much--I did see some videos of a more industry set-up where they had paint machines that were pumping out wrist bands and other items but nothing much in the way of a small maker operation. Is this type of product somewhat out of reach for most small business folks who dabble in a lot of different things (me with woodworking, CNC, laser, want to get into sublimation, etc.)? Thanks.
I just brough me a espon 2803 printer and I’m trying to make this picture I have with my mama and daddy on it together I want to put it on a shirt so how will I do start off doing it
