    Primarily Chris Pine is a Human Being before he is an actor and he is only feeling sympathy for the objectification of women now.A man in his thirties.Even a man born on a farm in the 18th century would be aware of this.Actors always have a new skin to suit any event!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    We should be able to objectify both men and women since it is only natural. My problem is that that scene normalizes sexual harassment. Chris Pine's character was obviously not cool with Wonder Woman walking in on him and yet the story had her linger and stare. Nobody would write a male character walking in on a naked woman bathing and stand there while she hastily covered herself up, and then portray him and the scene in a positive light.

    • @EtherealTempest
      @EtherealTempest 5 років тому +1

      The scene was also designed to emasculate him a bit. She wasn't foremost interested in his "thing", but the watch.

    I don't think Chris Pine was sidelined or made less important in the movie. Sure he wasn't the main character but his character was still well done. Honestly do men out there think that every story must be about them? Women have been used to being supporting characters or love interests for years now.

    S I adore Chris Pine. I have seen all the films with these two eyes, since I was young in breastfeeding and middle school pulses. He is a great and big star. Clarity, quality, accuracy and detail, I wish I had a face like a face, I wish a face that looks like a simple year, a very handsome and ancient face. If in a simple year, I always remember a face really, everything is beautiful in you. All in Star Tech, the revenues were amazing. You must be very rich and happy with your money. All women love you

  • @Ipiutiminella
    @Ipiutiminella 7 років тому +2

    I don't think he has been objectified though... Yes he played the part that usually goes to women, the weaker role. And yes the bath one sided naked scene is a classic with the role reversed but it's not necessarly an objectifying scene. Look at the one in Game of thrones when Daenerys gets out of the bath naked in front of daario, she is clearly empowered. The bath scene with Chris Pine was funny, not degrading at all. He looks quite comfortable and he is the one explaining things to Wonder Woman.

  • @LipoMaae94
    @LipoMaae94 7 років тому +24

    Yeah, 'cause men are never objectified/s. This interview shows it - especially when they talk about his member size. Oh, but it's only wrong, nasty and harmful when men do it to women - never mind women body-shame other women...

    • @LipoMaae94
      @LipoMaae94 7 років тому +2

      I'm whining for pointing out a double standard that is accepted while the reverse is looked down upon? And I thought feminism was for equality/s.

    • @LipoMaae94
      @LipoMaae94 7 років тому +1

      And since you asked nicely for me to stop, I'll respond in kind: please stop acting like you're oppressed just because you're a woman (assuming) because it's not true. "Women" sure do like victimhood.

    • @catrinawarner5884
      @catrinawarner5884 7 років тому +1

      Filipo Ma'aelopa do you know what oppressed means? I hope not if you actually think women aren't oppressed. please read a book, learn about the world's history, maybe you'll have a different opinion.
      and yes men get objectified by society. however, it is not on the same level as women. I know that's a tough pill to swallow, but unfortunately it's true

    • @LipoMaae94
      @LipoMaae94 7 років тому

      Catrina Warner - you brought up oppression, not me. How are women oppressed in the west? are you saying that men are not oppressed? Men are objectified, maybe not to the same extent, but I would argue more dangerously as society would rather send me to war where I will probably die, and if I don't, when I come back my service will mean nothing.
      I have a degree in ancient history, so I don't need to.

    • @catrinawarner5884
      @catrinawarner5884 7 років тому

      Filipo Ma'aelopa actually you said to someone assuming they are a woman, that they need to stop acting like they are oppressed.
      and again, look up the meaning of oppression because you're argument makes zero sense with that military comment you made.
      but women are still to this day oppressed even in the west. hate to break it to you but the wage gap still exists. maybe not with jobs like cashiers, etc, but do some research on the wage gap and the existence of it in different career areas and it'll open a whole new world to you. also, a lot of men out there still believe women are inferior to them so there's all of that as well. there's a lot more examples to how there still is a lot of progress to be made on women's rights.

    I like Pine but I disagree with him on the objectifying point. More often than not women love to dress with revealing clothes and be sexy. Their entire purpose is to call attention to themselves. Then to cry "marginalized" as the interviwer says is ridiculous.

  • @kaykutcher2103

    Men staring at women is wrong women staring at men is right this kind of hypocracy is why I am not a feminist good night

    • @victorym744
      @victorym744 7 років тому +33

      kay kutcher the scene was supposed to point out how common it is for women to be ogled. It acknowledges that since it's such a "normal" thing it is wrong. It's not hypocrisy. If anything, it shows the hypocrisy of misogyny. It's okay for men to ogle women and objectify women all the time? The movie asks the question, "well how about if it were the other way around?"

    • @victorym744
      @victorym744 7 років тому +9

      But I do get your point. Buzzfeed has articles pointing out how women are objectified all the time, but literally has quizzes making you choose between a Shirtless model and desserts. :/ I think THAT is hypocrisy.

    • @kaykutcher2103
      @kaykutcher2103 7 років тому +6

      Both sides are ogled as you put it but it's just gotten to a point where even simply looking at another person is somehow offensive and wrong that's something I can't stand

    • @spacegoatinpjs
      @spacegoatinpjs 7 років тому +5

      Are you kidding me? Exactly that kind of thinking is what leads to male rapings and harassment not being correctly punished. I can't tell any body that a couple of girls (and some dudes) at my school keep on mentioning and hinting at how my ass looks, or my crotch, or really any part of my body. Because they say "Please, any man enjoys being wanted" Well, when it is actual sexual harassment or abuse from some one you do not care for, a stranger or even somebody you dislike, it's not nice. Stop with this "Men like it", because when their is somebody that truly dislikes being objectified, we can't say a word or people assume we are puss*es, demented or not straight.

    • @kummbuhket
      @kummbuhket 7 років тому +5

      november132 Of course they aren't forced to be objectified! But if an actress tuned down every role that had an element of objectification, they would never be hired! People need to stop writing roles that focus just on woman's bodies!
