If you're buying the digital version first, go with the PC version. If there's any changes to the VAs/music or some kind of censorship in the game, someone will probably make mods to restore the missing content from the original game.
Hopefully its not censored as the dev promised, we got that crap on record
Well, right at the beginning of the trailer it says repop mode has less violence so that isn't a great start.

I'm so hyped for this game! I started playing the 360 version again a few months back and it STILL looks AWESOME. I just hope they can keep most of the voices similar and the soundtrack. The licensed songs are what I'm most worried about.

Yup. I'll preorder it for ps5, switch and xbox series x. Well as soon as the physical goes up for preorder. A read a article that the voices are supposed to be the same.
I really hope they don't censor the dialogue. Such a shame they had to cut Children of Bodom and Arch Enemy out of the game.

I love this game! I still got my giant foam chainsaw that I got after playing the game at PAX East in 2012. I'll be getting this for PC on release then hopefully a physical copy for the switch.

Oh nice, they didn't uglify the ladies for the so call modern audience. They didn't give them those man jaw they all seem to be getting now. When it get a physical release. I'm definitely going to buy it.

James Gunn worked on this games script if I remember right.
He did more than just wrote the script. When he got involved the Japanese made a very rough draft of the basic story, Juliet, Nick, and the chainsaw upgrades. Gunn created the world, all the secondary characters, casted the voices (Most of the English cast were friends), got his buddy Jimmy Urine to compose new selections for the game, and handpicked the licensed music alongside Suda51. The original LC oozes early James Gunn and his influences (like Troma for example).
Wow I was crossing my fingers for RePop to be released on the PS4 but now I’m even more excited it’s coming for the Switch too. Big fan of the original (PS3) version and looks like the studio/creator put a lot of improvements into the design and gameplay. Definitely getting at least one physical copy of this game for my collection. Thanks for sharing the info. 😊

This game was one of my favourites on the Xbox 360 back in the day, I still have my original copy. This looks a bit disappointing honestly, I wish it was a remake with improved visuals, the fact it's on Xbox One and ps4 and Switch means it got nerfed, those consoles are still holding back games from being made better graphically. If it releases at a cheaper price, I might grab it.
Can they do this for the Def Jam Series of games?

People will mod the original music for the pc version
Hopefully the controls make the combos less spammy and more precise. I would always whiff so many combos between the button delays and the fact that if you start an attack other than the pom-poms or kick, the zombies would hit you immediately out of your combo and you'd just stand there doing nothing. Also, those damn Nick Tickets were easy to auto-activate when you were trying to use a lollipop (to heal) instead... plus the ironic slowdown that would occur during Chainsaw Dash. Also hoping the new mode makes sparkly hunting less disorienting: it was always a cool looking effect but when you'd jump back into play the perspective would be way off.
I hope the combat system is fixed

As far as I read, the script was not re-recorded, it's all from the original game. Also the gameplay isn't supposed to be as clunky as the first. I remember I would have to press the button like six times just to get a combo going LOL. I do wish that there was a little bit more update on the graphics, but I remember when this first got teased everybody wasn't happy about it cuz if I'm not mistaken I think it was supposed to be like a completely different story line but almost true to the original. I don't know. I just bought the one for PlayStation 3 about a week ago because I possibly might be seeing Tara strong at a convention soon so I'm going to have her sign it. I am stoked about this and I agree with you like digital first and then physical. But I know sure as hell that I am going to buy two copies or if there is a a collector's edition definitely definitely going for it. Now I wonder if they got the license to have all the music back from the first game. If not, I wonder how they're going to play that off with original music. But again, I am so stoked for this

I beat the original version of Lollipop Chainsaw a lot on my Xbox 360 still haven’t played it on the PS3 yet but I can’t wait to get repop for my current consoles and my PC also I hope for the PC version gets Steam Deck Verified on day one I am so excited for this game to come out.
The game was ok, bought it on 360 and PS3. Its probably the only game I finished in the first playthrough.
Gotta get this since I passed when it first came out, mainly because I played Bayonetta first and felt like the action in LPCS was slow. Now we need capcom to redo GODHAND.

Noone said it WOULD be censored. There was concern that it COULD be censored though due to a lot of the dialog and costumes in the original and how people all of a sudden think things are offensive for whatever reason..

I'm so conflicted. I just got out my 360 and am really in the mood to replay Lollipop Chainsaw.
Part of me thinks I should just wait for Repop so it hits fresh, but part me wants to just play both back to back so I can compare/contrast the changes.

Did you order it from limited run or playasia? I was so indecisive, i ordered it on switch with the statue from Limited Run as well as the regular ps5 version in case the switch is a bad port. I have and love the original. I may get repop on steam as well so i don't have to wait to play and i have a steam deck and good pc.
