As a swimmer myself that isn't something special or weird. Especially if your best friends you would probably end up knowing their stroke after being in the same team for awhile.

I guarantee that she even practiced swimming PASSIONATELY to get on the Olympic level, NOT because she loves swimming like Phelps does, but BECAUSE Phelps does and so she could be THAT much closer to him. It's almost tragic her life and every single step she's ever taken was to get as close as she possibly could to that man. Believe it.
What exactly happened to Allison Schmitt? Seems like she got overwhelmed by her sudden London 2012 fame and she kinda couldn't handle all that fame and pressure and she buckled? She was rarely seen in A finals after London...
