Pack your tornado bags and have your flashlight and phones charged as well as necessary medications. Dog leashes and most importantly hard sole shoes ready to put on.

Happy Good Friday, y'all. Hope you're feeling better today, Max. Thank you for always keeping us informed. I ask y'all to please continue to pray for me. I had my doctor's appointment yesterday I was told that I have a tumor on my left temperal lobe, they didn't tell me the size, they just said that they caught it early enough that they are going to try medication first which is some kind of steroid that starts now (I have the medication) and get me an appointment with a Neurosurgeon ASAP. We’ll likely see a moderate risk, though it will probably be for dangerous wind gusts and a strong tornado threat

All hazards will be possible, though the tornado potential there looks somewhat low. Nonetheless, I would be prepared and have a tornado action plan anyone in central-downstate Illinois.

im in SW Missouri i been watching that for a few days and its all coming together nicely for a loaded gun Severe Weather event.. i have seen 60s and 70s Dew Points so that's a juicily air mass for them storms to fed off of!!! our local news weather is seeing a squall line coming in. so im watching it closely

Telling people from the Midwest to have a plan in place and watch the weather is like speaking to a wall. We spend every single year dealing with this weather. You could paint Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas orange or red from April through June. Everyone in the Midwest is a meteorologist. Our “plan” for significant weather is to run outside when it starts getting bad out. If we realize that something bad is coming within a few minutes then and only then do we head inside and down to the basement. Live here long enough and you can tell by the smell if significant weather is coming.
Seriously, we have become numb to severe weather. It’s part of our lives. You learn to not let it get to you or get you worked up. We go about our lives and pay no attention to it until we need to which is usually when a tornado is headed right for you. My wife and kids know that I will only tell them to go to the basement when we have.
And that's why so many people die. I moved out here and some of you fools don't have a clue.
@@robertellion1873an F5 tornado rips through an entire town and 3 people in a mobile home, who had nowhere else to go, died and all us fools die all the time? If we ran in the house every time someone said severe weather was coming, we’d never leave the basement in the spring or summer. People not from the Midwest don’t get it. We literally have 3 different sounding sirens depending on what weather is coming. Severe weather, potentially damaging severe, and tornado.
@lukedawg2787 I'm not sure where you live, but there are two sirens and they're different. One for tornadoes and one for flash flooding. You know which is which. And yes, people out this way are simple and don't have a clue.
@@robertellion1873 where I live there are 3 sirens for significant weather. Flash floods, significant severe weather or PDS, and then tornadoes and I guess technically a 4th but it’s not weather related. The sirens go off everyday at noon and again at around 4PM to let all the farmers, who are out in the fields, know when it’s lunch time and quitting time. This is just a shorter version of the tornado siren but yes you can tell the difference between them all. Which brings me back to my point, where I live I hear the sirens all the time all spring and summer long. You become numb to it all.
I always seem to be right on the mariginal to slight risk of all these storm systems. Just hopin to stay in that area and not see much action
my entire state is under a 15% risk for Tuesday and it's nothing that bothers me because tornadoes are something that I respect but I'm not afraid of them at all and the one thing that concerns me with Monday night through Tuesday night is that surface low moving over Southeastern and Eastern Missouri and that compose a huge problem for severe weather across pretty much all of Northeast Mississippi and Northern Alabama and this is the time of year they don't need that in either of those areas

I live right in the middle of both days risk area in west Tennessee. Its a very slim corridor between the risk areas that isn't covered. Does that mean there is no risk?

Will there be a moderate risk or tornado watch Monday in Tulsa
I’m not Max, but I can answer that question. I think a moderate risk is possible, however the ingredients have to line up. You’re currently in an enhanced risk zone for now though, but yes I think MDT 4/5 risk is possible. Stay weather aware for now
@@SevereStormFilmerAnother thing to keep in mind is that moderate and high risk areas generally don't show up until the day in question. Only twice has a day 2 outlook had a high risk area. Moderate risks have been in day 2 outlooks only a handful of times, and only once or twice or so in a day 3 outlook.
As for day 4 outlooks and further out, enhanced is the highest the Storm Prediction Center goes, and even then, only if there's a serious possibility for a major severe weather outbreak.

The way things stand right now, the edge of the enhanced risk area runs right through St. Louis (the city). But as the event draws closer, things will be fine-tuned as more information becomes available.
