I'm working on watching your videos from the beginning. Its fun to see how your city has changed and how your content has changed. You get better every year Bricksie. Keep up the awesome work. How do you feel your life has changed since the beginning? Did you think you would be where you are when you first started?

Not sure if you have Dollar Tree near you in Canada but they carry the off brand building blocks. They have 32x32 base plates for $1.25ea here. They are inexpensive enough to not feel bad about cutting a row of studs off to fit your IKEA shelves.

Great organization. Found your video while looking for ideas for my grandson’s room. I hate the fact that it is so hard to dust the Lego’s and the shelves he has because they are out in the open and collect lots of dust. I will continue to look to see if I can find glass covered shelving or acrylic. I need something that keeps the dust out but it is a nice, see-through display for his room.

I enjoy watching your videos and look forward to them each and every day.
As a suggestion, the wall behind the amusement park has room for a shelf, although it would be a huge pain to get in there and put in brackets. You could then build like the tan wall you sample showed us, along the back of the railroad track and up to the lower shelf, about six to eight inches tall. Holy crow that would be a ton of building. I did notice in an earlier video you mentioned having five police stations, I'm not sure if they are all separte sets, but Iremeber there were two across the street from one another. That sound like the Starbucks in downtown Vancouver. They are three stories tall and are kitty corner from each other on Robson St. Keep up the great work, give the family a hug from me.

You can easily add shelves to your cabinets by using your scraps. Just cut two pieces to the height you would like your shelf then place them on there sides on each side then place your shelf on top. You can easily stack theses. Maybe place double sided tape to hold them against the cabinet side. You most likely would not need this though.

I know the frustration of the 1 stud difference on the billy bookcase width vs 3 baseplates. I have a few modulars on mine and recently converted to mils for them so I could create a custom 31 stud wide plate for a MOC. Major pain to work around but the MILS allowed me to work around it

Hey Jordan you have made one heck of a good setup have to say is pretty awesome. Have a thought to run by you with the adjustable wall shelves you put up around your city lay out. Where you have the extra wall channel for the shelf mounting brackets you could get some white vinyl tape or something of the like to cover up the parts not used and blend into the walls better. One other thought I had was with your floor shelves what if you were to get rid of those and put up all the wall shelves to where you would have the maximum storage area and on inside corners be easy to run wires for led lights throughout. You could have various widths of shelves to accommodate everything and have much more flexibility on setting things in place. With you waiting a year or whatever for getting a warehouse space (which don't blame you as wouldn't rush into it) I feel you will soon be limiting your creativity for running out of space. Love what you do and happy to see you include your family time is awesome to see your little ones growing up so fast. Wishing you only the best.

Hey Bricksie was just watching this video and as you showed the bulkhead shelves are empty I remember you saying you need more space for brick heads. You could maybe do some massive custom built platforms like you have done but long ones on a bulkhead shelf. They could be 4-5 tiers tall and go one length of the shelf you’d get loads on there!

Laser level. $50 for a green laser level and you will master leveling 30 tables all at once on the first try. Also don't use construction lumber for the horizontal pieces because it will expand and contract with humidity changes. Plywood only for the supporting members, construction lumber for the legs is ok as it won't change lengthwise.

Ask Bricksie: Could you by chance partner up with a local bricks & mini figs such as the the one in Calgary and have a them rent out a space within your commercial property (if and when you may get it) to sell product and mix in some of your merch and your own product as well? Or even partner up with some local Bricklink sellers and some areas within the commercial property allocated to them and they can sell product while you retain a certain percentage of profit with rent out space? Just a thought on a possible way for extra income. Would love to hear your perspective and business insight on that.

Is there a way you could describe or showcase in more detail how you sort your bricks? Each drawer seems to be by color, but do you do color then smaller bins inside those with different shapes? Do you have drawers for different "themes' despite color/shape? What about rare or odd shapes and character pieces and accessories?

I hope for your sake your basement has some sort of protection from floods. I don’t live in a flood zone and we got hit with more rain than the the storm drains could handle. My basement flooded within seconds causing 10’s of thousands of dollars of damage. I instantly lost all my Lego storage and shelves. My backlog of sets that I stored on the floor because I had no other room are all destroyed. We even paid for additional insurance and it still doesn’t cover all my losses. In order to try and save some money we are in the process of removing everything that has been water damaged ourselves. The amount of loss in seconds is heartbreaking. Watching the destruction happen while knowing you can do nothing to prevent it, I just have no way to describe it. It’s been two days and already the smell is overpowering. If you can please send some prayers our way. We certainly need all the help we can get.
