Fantastic book, I never read this one before for some reason. It's such a relief to list3en to an author with an ironic sense of humor in this era of phony optimism and self-proclaimed "winners" who are at least as miserable as everybody else.

It's Vonnegut's style to mix fiction and non-fiction. I'm not sure how much of it would be considered 'meta' but he doesn't know the meaning of a fourth wall.

Have to admit that Kurt's description of this story made it sound so pointless that I couldn't even start it.

i listened to all his books and this is the last ...and.. i think one of the best...his description is for time quake one and this is time quake two... it also contains lots of personal notes about his life and is a wonderful swan song ... if you know his work already it is a very rewarding book..and the reading is good as well ... give it a chance :)
