Certainly one of the best Amsteel-loop videos out there. It's clean, precise and easy to follow. Man, that title isn't idiot proof though. Wish i saw this 4 years ago.
+North Country Outdoor Guys Glad people are finding this helpful (I reference my own videos too from time to time). Let me know how your pole mod works out.
+saintrojo I always have at least one dogbone stashed in my bishop bag pocket for use if I need an extension on my hammock suspension. I can larks head it onto my hammock continuous loop for those extra wide hangs.
wow brilliant way for making a locked brummell when you can’t access the other end of the rope!

Good informative video! I have never seen someone bury the cord that way before. Almost seemed easier! Happy hangings!
brilliant way
I have to make my lines be a very specific length, how much additional cordage is required to make the same locked brummel?
You would have to measure that for yourself.
Thanks doogie! Just used the 1st technique to make lash-it dog bones for my Superfly pole mod. Now, I just need the pole. Come on USPS!

Good video. What is the advantage of the ALB over the regular LB?
+akayaker Thanks. The main reason to use it is when you don't have access to the other end of the line.
what are you using the dogbone for?

got it thanks!
+Eric Payne You are welcome! Thanks for watching.
It's way easier when you have better tools. The needle isn't helping much.
When your only tool is a hammer everything starts to look like a nail.
