Welcome to the City of Bards, where you're guaranteed to have a helluva time! Just make sure you don't get enchanted by their mind-influencing songs, and keep your coin purse tight in case you're made to feel more generous than you should be in any given moment.
Actually a nice book idea. A bard on a journey, experiencing adventures, going from village to village and city to city, telling storys and making people happy with his music in these dark times. I'd buy it^^
That would make a great idea for an anime too. Something like Mushishi for the style. Maybe a european "bande dessinée" too! Something a bit mature than what you find usually for kids. Something for 10-14 y.o peoples. Yeah. All those sound great!
A city of bards... That... THAT'S A FREAKING GOOD IDEA! I imagine a party going through the harsh sunny desert. Then, one of them spots a portal. Tiny. But there. Wondering if this is an illusion, they set up items to remember where they were going, leave a group there and go check. The tiny group goes on and actually finds said portal. One of them checks. But it seems like a teleportal more than one to go in other plains of existence they blow a horn to tell the rest of the group it's there and they will check it. And get the answer that they will wait. One of them goes through, his shield in front of him. But on the other side, a city, and music everywhere! It's not the desert anymore. As the second goes through the portal, told by the first one it's safe, he checks around and notice that the sky is false. Even the light is! They are sure of it. They're underground! As they start walking, the people living here spots them, not knowing what to do. The second one goes and start to talk to them. But they do not speak the same language. But are shown a big building with a single word: "Talk". Thinking someone in there might speak one of the languages they talk, they thank the person and goes to the building. There, someone welcomes them and a old woman wearing great clothes comes right after. NPC-"So, someone found the portal to our sanctuary. May I ask, how did you find it in this gigantic desert?" P1-"We found it by accident. We went to check if it was an illusion, or something hostile. But, it seems this is not the case." NPC-"Oh. Then welcome to this underground city of the bards! You can stay as you want. But, beware. Do not stay for too long." P2-"Is there something in here that we should fear? Or something else?" P1-"I think she is talking about food." P2-"What? Hungry again? Really?" NPC-"In fact, he is right. You might not have noticed. But you will never feel hunger in here. This is my warning. When you pass this portal, something changes. A blessing. You will never need food. But if you go back after too long, you might die of hunger instantly. It happend to so many adventurers... But if you go... could you tell none about our city?" P1-"We will." As they go back, the people start to sing and dance again. Both start to dance too. But ultimatly have to leave. As they go, the cityfolks start to wave to them. They wave back and go with a smile. When the return to the desert, it's already dark. And they feel so hungry! They rush back to the camp and eat like they didn't ate for days! When the rest of the group asks, they tell them that it's a portal to an underground. And that a tiny magic stone was doing the portal, and that it would disapear after some days. One of them don't buy it. But stick with it. They stay for the night, take their stuff back, and go. As they go, the one who didn't believe the story turns to the portal. But can't find it. She thinks they said the truth, goes back to the group and leave with them. When everyone is gone, the portal reopens. Many cityfolk goes through. The old woman joins, smiles, and everyone starts to vanish. But she doesn't. And she start to talk. NPC-"You may be a warrior, but your soul says otherwise. I can tell that. May they judge you. May they hate you... For me, you are still a child of the song." And she goes back into the portal. The warrior (P1) looks behind him. The group call him, he looks at them, smiles, and join them again to the next story. (That took far too long XD)
Good grief you have a lot of time on your hands, it's really good though, now I can imagine the scene perfectly as the song plays out. have you considered writing? Cause you seem to be a natural 😁👍 Ps. How does this not have more likes?
It had been a year since he had left home to pursue his dream of becoming a talented musician and he was finally here. Darsteller, The City of Bards, home to the most prestigious school or performance and music who’s graduates have gone on to preform for kings and noblemen alike. As he walked through the city gates he looked around in amazement as the streets where filled with different performers from acrobats and fire breathers to minstrels and jesters. All hoping to be accepted into the this years class.
One of my dreams is to make a great RPG and if I ever get the opportunity to accomplish that, I'd love it if you'd compose the music. Until then: Wish me luck^^
Welcome to senorica! Where travellers, bards, and wanderers gather for the music festival, you’re in for a special treat as Peter Crowley and his fellow mates are gracing us with his presence this year! Now come, I know you must be tired but let’s knock back a few drinks awhile you tell us you story..... How’d I do? I absolutely love this song!
So glad you keep on sharing your music here with us Peter. My music teacher was right when she said so many great artist haven't have their big break yet.
I'm so amazed!!! Thats unbelievable how immersive your sounds can be, Peter Crowley! I close my eyes and I can immagine a full scennary in a square, with musicians and a festival!
Magical is the word I can choose to describe this music. It would have been nice to include some bagpipes tunes to it too. So much energy after hearing this music.👍
Peter, je te suis depuis le début, tes compositions musicales sont tellement belles, le monde à besoin de plus de musiciens comme toi ! Je viens d'apprendre que tu es français je ne savais même pas, chouette ! Je te souhaite bonne continuation !
I'm literally obsessed with this song. Plus, I was listening this when a friend of mine was with me and she was like "Oh, it's peter Crowley, that's why it sounds so amazing."
Ah man. I wasn’t home when I got the notification. My life has been destroyed! 😫 Not really, love this song Peter! I’ve been waiting for something as awesome as this!
I place a tripod with a bucket of soapy water mixed with mouthwash and toothpast just outside of every closed door so that it will spill on them the moment they step out.

everyone: Nice.
It really do be like that sometimes, but you either complain, or see how far we can take it.
So nice ♥️😫
Your Celtic compositions never ceases to amaze and impress me. Good work!
Venti will love this
the disliker seems that they forget to turn the audio on
Maybe he thought that was the button to turn the volume on...
Probably the guy who listens to every fortnight music video
"What is this modernist silent shit?"

'City of the Bards'
Oh heck yes!!! Count me in!!!
Peter didn't have to go this absolutely BONKERS with this arrangement, but he did anyway, and we've all been blessed.
It's criminal how few views this has compared to his other works. Hands down the best composition yet.
This gives me the same feeling of when I first played Ocarina of Time and have Link enter Castle town to see the people in their day to day life.
