Please realize this is supposed to be fun. Being frustrated is fine and part of the challenge. However, if stress becomes part of playing games, when it is not your primary source of income, just turn it off. You will encounter enough stressful events in your life, that you can't just flip a switch to avoid. Try a different game, go walk the dog, or take apart your console and give it a good cleaning. Trying to win should be the goal, and results in self improvement. Needing to win results in blaming the reason you didn't and even others.
people keep saying this and it's not as true as people think it is. if you see a GM player who's doing an unranked to GM and just.... playing like a GM player in gold and playing dps only moira, yeah, they're going to be able to climb really fast because they are a GM player in a rank substantially lower than their own. that's not the same thing as "play DPS Moira, ez climb," no matter how much people want to believe it is.
@@sethescope i agree. that's why i dont think those unranked to GMs can completely work because its also in the mental side? like GM players see and experience the game differently. their reaction times and awareness too. so even if a lower ranked tries to replicate them, it wont go well from what i believe

Hello again! First, I'm so sorry I missed the stream. I'm still asleep at the time you usually do these. I did catch it when the stream released on the Twitch history. 1. I do have stick drift. I messed with the dead zone settings, but I would still get that weird flicking. Turns out, the aim assist along with the drift was messing me up. I lowered my aim assist and made the assist window way smaller and that helped a ton. 2. I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't know about the Illari firing rate. I've slowed down on my firing now. To the person in chat saying to stay off Illari, kindly eff off. Quit acting like you've never had to learn a character. My highest win rate is with Illari. 3. I'm way more confident with Ana, so that's probably why my gameplay changed when I switched to her. I'll try to keep that confidence when using other characters. I have been doing way better with Kiriko since I've started being more aggressive with her. 4. When I got hit with the Cassidy ult, I legit didn't hear it. I'm not sure if my audio settings are messed up or what, but there are times where I flat out won't hear an audio cue for ults and other abilities. I even turned off my music and it still happens. 5. The twirl thing is me trying to reload my weapon when it's full lol. When I was playing dps, I would constantly forget to reload as Sombra before jumping in for a play.... which led to another bad habit: constantly reloading. I'll have to find a balance there. 6. I heard once to always die on cart and I guess I took that as a commandment lol. I will keep working on my gameplay. Thank you for all tips and feedback! Also, good job guessing the new rank!
For the audio thing, are you using headphones? Or just the tv audio, cus I’m very surprised you didn’t hear the cass high noon, just wondering cus if you’re not using headphones it could be good to invest in them, audio is everything in this game.
@@dreissea I'd def recommend investing in some good quality headphones, it was a game changer for me! When I first started I couldnt hear a lot of audio cues and where ults (like junks tire) were coming from, which resulted in a lot of avoidable deaths. Now I die a bit less and climbed a couple ranks!

You see the people in the comments… “isn’t there aim assist on console, he must be resisting it” clearly don’t play much console… aim assist hurts you more than it helps you… especially if they’re all close together both enemies and your pull to your teammates on Ana… that’s why all the top console players have sensitivity’s that practically erase aim assist.
and many top players I've talked to on console have found ways to make the aim assist even stronger and use that so it's definitely not all top players
@techno2949 which again has a trade off. It isn't a cheat code, you can easily miss many shots because a genji dashes by, traces blinks by, any mobile hero. Tanks as well, with their hit boxes being so large they can pull your aim a lot when trting to poke behind them.
21:53 as a support I feel this moment, not knowing whether to go deal with the flanker or keep focusing on healing while still being stressed about the player behind you yet nobody else turns around.
Lower ranked supports just sit in the back regardless of where the tank is and then blame the tank for going in. They just don't get the concept of if the tank dies you WILL lose the team fight.
Not necessarily I've had plenty of times where our tank will die but made enough room for me to get the support or the enemy tank will see our tank died and then try and 1v4 lol
This isn't an mmo where your team wipes without a tank holding aggro. There have been times when tanks are borderline useless and times when tanks are absolute gods. Either way, the rest of the team can absolutely still win the fight, especially if the tank traded.
If he had died here from playing mid - we would be talking about how he was peeking the widow and that death is on him. As a support, you don't peek the widow.

The lower the rank, the more it may feel like each death hurts your progress. Even with a loss if ya got 0 deaths you can at least say you'd do better with a "better team"
You can easily do good dmg and get a lot of picks on support while still keeping up with heals for your team. I am so tired of people assuming you can only do one or the other to get good value from either. Every support (other than lw imo) feel very smooth when swapping between doing damage and healing. It's very easy to find a good balance. I had a kiriko play support the entire game on gibraltar comp but didn't even have 800 healing. Meanwhile she was flanking just to dps. She had like 10 deaths, 5k dmg, 9 kills, and just absolutely refused to play as a team or heal. I don't mind a fellow support being more dps based. It's frustrating sometimes but i just suck it up and pick up their slack. Playing around your teammates and all. But i really hoped she would at least play with the team a bit more. Taking smarter angles and using her ult for team fights or using suzu on her teammates at the very least. Well i got heated when it hit second round and she took ana from me. A bit childish on my part but i was having a really good ana game and was having fun on her. But she took ana just to get only 5 more kills and then sit on the bridge high ground in front of attacker first spawn the entire second round. We lost that game. Shocker to no one. It was open Q too so i had to keep 2 tanks alive and a dps by myself and i find it easier to do that on Ana, moira, mercy. But i just really didn't want to play moira or mercy as they didn't fit the comp and tbh i just don't like playing them if there are better options. Regardless, i played moira anyways just to help my team stay alive with my fast charging ult.

This player doesn't even know how the hero works and they're asking for coaching to climb??? How long has illari been out? Way to long for me to excuse not knowing how to play her, reassert in a comp game, go to quick play pls I beg

This proves what I thought before, ranks are way to close to eachother. This player clearly is lacking a lot of skills that higher ranked players have. Yet he still managed to get to silver :) Maybe they have to make things more complicated in how you gain or lose SR. Maybe also take into account how your acc on a weapon is, what heroes you swapped to, based on the other team, how you utilized the kit of a character. Did you use a health pack if it was right next to you, and no support anywhere. all those kind of metrics would make the whole ranking system a whole lot more sense I think.
I think using in-game stats to determine ELO in overwatch would probably be really nasty for the competitive experience. Cassidy can spam fan the hammer on tanks for damage, bastion can do the same with turret form, moira tends to top damage, healing, and eliminations in many games but also doesn’t win a lot of those games for her teams despite being a stats monster. Juno will usually have the most healing in a game and have many eliminations despite not really contributing a lot to them. I could go on and on, but that’s a really abusable system and I think W/L eventually gets players where they need to be. It’s expected that a player is not going to be good when they’re in silver, that’s the bottom 25% of the ladder.
On my alt account I’m currently at plat 3 averaging less than 1.5k healing per game. If you’re good enough you can just muscle your way into diamond just playing dps support. Mainly play bap, kiriko, and zen on that account
if your main is in masters or above, you actually don't know what you're talking about here. you're not winning on your alt because dps support is the way to go. you're winning because you're a substantially higher ranked player playing in comparatively easy lobbies. that is not the same thing as DPS support being a better play style.
It’s a petty and weird complaint that absolutely has nearly 0 impact on whether or not I would watch another video, because I love you emongg and will watch all of them anyway, but I hate your outros. It feels rushed to the point that you just seem glad to be done with making the videos (which, let’s be honest, is probably true and that is ok.) Since it is the same every time, maybe just record a heartfelt one and tack it on to the end of all of your videos.

You can definitely dps as Moira in the metal ranks and easily climb this way

Spam shooting is way worse than 10 less damage per charged shot.
You have to reload like crazy playing like that.

It's a give in take. Sometimes tanks dive and los heals and there's no way to keep them up. Sometimes supports are outta position.
