- Hundreds gather to protest outside Finglas Garda Station
Over 200 protesters against asylum seekers descended on Finglas Garda Station on Wednesday evening.
Holding up Irish flags and Republican flags, protesters gathered in the area from 8pm.
These folk have obviously been keeping an eye on the demise of the UK. We’re in a fight for our lives folks.
ireland are much further down the line than the uk, they are gone in 5-10 years
Ireland has no infrastructure for the people legitimately here. Man we had the kids home for 2 weeks, one from a paid school because we had a couple of cold days. Elderly people were stranded. Guy on next road drives a gritter. They can't even manage the place as it is.
Living behind their curtains and keeping an eye on things does not a clever bunny make.

Some 70,000 asylum seekers, refugees and economic migrants have arrived in Ireland in the last 12 months alone with very little if any vetting for many of those. Added to that is the fact that housing is already limited with many struggling to find a roof over their head. The minimum wage in Ireland is €1450 per month but the cheapest 1 bedroom apartment available in Dublin on Daft today is €1350 per month. Now you explain how a massive influx of people is going to help drive those rental prices down rather than inflate them. You can hurl all the "racist" slurs you want but the truth is that these policies are going to affect already struggling ordinary working class people the most. People up and down the country have genuine worries and concerns and the government would be foolish to dismiss them like you do.

They call people racist for attending these protests but are we allowed call them mysogonistic or homophobic for defending a culture that has no respect for women or gay people? Protesting outside the wrong place. Targeting Gardai and garda stations is not helpful. Should be outside Politicians clinic or outside Government Offices. Thats the only place where change will come from. Politicians are making the policy. The Politicians need to be changed. The wrong people allowing this to happen to our country. Bringing in hundreds of thousands of foreigners with no services, Irish kids cant get places in secondary schools of their choice. Doctors clinics cant cope with the influx.
