This Leinster side is one of the best club sides in history.Respect for Northampton comeback.Croke Park a terrific venue..Congratulations to 82000 fans who attended.Nice to watch game directly from Johannesburg.
The official number is 83 thousand . Where in the world would you get a number that big for a game such as this !!! Fantastic crowd who gave the teams Hugh support & Leinster won the day . Congratulations to both teams for such a thrilling game . Roll on to the final .
Leo has hit it on the head, it's knock-out rugby. So Northampton were nervy in the 1st half and showed in high handling error count, they should have had a try but for bad pass to Ramm on the wing but once Courtney Lawes worked hard at the rucks in the 2nd half that gave them more ball in hand and got their attack game going which meant they pushed Leinster close to the edge near the end. Well done to Phil Dowson and Co. and Northampton team for a tight match and good contest. It was good to see his team play. know now what all the talk is about in England re Northampton Saints players being selected for England team. After we beat La Rochelle in the quarter finals with big score difference it was the type of competition Leinster needed before the final. Some players will need more match time before the final.
This game threatened to be a cakewalk for leinster with the Saints having serious jitters. Glad leinster were pushed in the end and it will stand to them in the final. Well done lads in reaching an eight European final.
Next few league games just might see Crowley being prepped to start at 10 in the final. Though it is also plausible that RB now has this less than perfect performance out of his system. Remember, he was player of the match in the last game.
I have to say, does Caelen Doris know it was a rare occasion not particularly because of the venue (which we appreciate the venue allowing rugby in giving us the opportuity to fill with a higher capacity of supporters and you guys the opportunity to perform there) but mostly it was filled because we're doing our best in pushing you guys onto the final and hopefully, fingers crossed the Champions Cup win. I sat beside lovely people who drove up from Wexford and know of longtime Leinster supporters who drove up from Kilkenny to attend and others who came from the other side of Wicklow. Thats what this venue is associated with, supporters making long road trips to support their county teams, since it's the culture associated with the venue. Nobody has ever grumbled or made a Hoo Ha about it over the years. Or another way of saying it is putting money where mouths are in a quiet unassuming way. Still it was nice to mingle the two sports cultures together and credit to the EPCR for the idea. And want to say you guys did the occasion and the support justice on Saturday so well done for that performance. Its most certainly wasn't just about a bunch of supporters crossing the river to the other side for a rugby semi final. Got it now Caelen?
And yet, Leinster relied on Sexton for so long that they even forgot how hit and miss a goal kicker he was - in Both Shirts - blue and green. His career tally is respectable but, boy, did he give us all some nervy games when his boot often went AWOL.
Pretty bad performance in the second half. Don’t mind the the blitz defence being brought in to the team but let’s not start trying to turn Leinster into South Africa and shut up shop when we’re winning by 10 points with 40 minutes to go. Ridiculous.
RTE commentry was shocking after 5 mins in the second half they said the game was over when leinster had a ten point lead, im starting to believe the arrogant slurs that have been stated by people in the past.
@@JosephFallon Norhampton had a scrum on the leinster line would bring it to a 3 point game and never grasped the importance of it he went on a ramp about some player for about 5 mins.
Ireland are the best team in the World . They can never get past a quarter final of a World Cup with only 10 teams in the World playing at a serious level but that’s only a minor detail 😂😂😂😂😂
Poor old cavier cry cry cry Bet you,r team didn,t make final kid.? Do you want to talk about it cavier? Is it your team is a loser like you mate.? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 poor cavier.😂😂😂😂
Very disappointed in Leinster. I'd heard all the hype, was expecting something special but turned out they are very ordinary. Home advantage, 80,000 fans, Saints missing Ludlam, Sleighthome, Pearson, Hutchinson, and lets be honest, weren't at their best but still came within 3 points of an "upset".
Northampton are the Prem leaders and England's best attacking team. Leinster went to sleep with 15 mins to go and only woke up at 20-17 (thank goodness they did) and RB did not have a good day from the tee. But Leinster were also missing James Ryan, Garry Ringrose and Hugo Keenan who are all starting Irish Internationals & probable Lions. Only for a depth chart matched by no other, Leinster would have missed them alot more than Northampton missed their injured players.
The negative comments ffs we won the game , roll in next game .Well done you boys in blue 💙

That performance unlikely to worry Toulouse
Am inclined to agree ...the famous Leinster cave ins ...becoming a habit....they need a 30 points lead at 50 minutes !
@@tomgreene1843Famous cave ins?4 stars on the jersey says different.
Wow.
Northampton are the best side in England, wtf are you talking about.
Are you forgetting the hammering La Rochelle got already?
@RazorMouth you know LA Rochelle are struggling in France. They not so good as we like to think

Well done lads, on to the final.
Poor game management in that last 15 mins
Byrne left 10 points out there...nervous for the final after that
"Looking forward, that system's going to need to be good for Toulouse" and then the wry smile from JGP.

I don’t think Leinster will try to kick and defend a lead again. They were not able to do it
Coybib! A win is a win.
Get the heads right for 80min. Congratulations.. 😮
Audio quality is terrible. Not rocket science..
Honest from Leo 👍
Rose Byrne isnt a top level fly half
Indeed.Good actress though.
@buanobas9122 very good in bridesmaids....
You don't win finals without a reliable goal kicker the dogs in the street know that.
Such insight...
No they don't. I asked them. They said "Woof? Woof woof!?"
And yet, Leinster relied on Sexton for so long that they even forgot how hit and miss a goal kicker he was - in Both Shirts - blue and green. His career tally is respectable but, boy, did he give us all some nervy games when his boot often went AWOL.

Best reply here. 100%
The only thing I'd say is, Leo is the head coach. Nienaber wouldn't have that much influence in the overall strategy over Leo.

Yes - that was shocking from Lenihan. Also his co commentator kept saying Leinster were top of URC

Donal Lenihan man, he’s shite
Gunna be hilarious if Leinster lose 3 finals in a row😂
"ehm"
What is it with Ross Byrne how is he even considered
Imagine Finn Smith in Leinster 10 . Not saying it would happen but another quality 10 and Leinster are lacking
Fair weather supporter Tom😂
@@slugger7520 I was just thinking NS took a chance on Finn when older more experienced were available . That’s all

Leo Cullen said 'eh' or 'ehm' 27 times in the first 2:13 of that video. Now you'll always notice. You're welcome.
Thought I was only one who noticed this. He does it in all his interviews 😂
It's called a 'verbal crutch'.
Cool story

There’s no such thing as an upset in the semifinals of any major competition. It’s always 50/50…..
