In Germany was hamp a very long time illegal. After legalisation we can grow 3 plants. All the knowledge about Oil is been lost. But I am searching for wonderful People like you to reverse that.

Thank you I’m going to actually use these for medical reasons I suffer from brain hemorrhage seizures and I’m only 37 years old I live in Massachusetts so I appreciate the simple and easy method

So I made a huge batch using your information and it turned out amazing. I like this method because it uses the entire flower. Lots of good info on the "Entourage effect". Full Spectrum. I gave a pint to my mom and she loves it. Noticed a difference right away. Another friend and her husband used it on arthritis and worked great. Also another friend used a half teaspoon of my oil and she was able to sleep during the night which she hasn't been able for years. Also the benefits of using coconut oil or MCT has healing in itself so a great combination. Medium Chain Triglycerides in the oil (MCT) will naturally create a Ketosis effect which is another huge benefit. Thanks so much for this video. I am doing MCT oil batch today so I can make 2 OZ droppers so I can use sublingually and in my coffee and teas. Fun Stuff!!!! Happy Holidays.

If you really want maximum extraction use grain alcohol and then strain and evaporate the alcohol and then mix in coconut oil at low heat then add that to your cook. I’m glad you had a good experience but you could easily triple the yield and potency.

You gotta love the classic triple beam balance, I think every high school had them stolen. I've seen kilos of blow weighed out on them and many pounds of weed. Even though today little digital scales are handey I would love to own a triple beam one day again you can always tell old timers. Stay safe bud
loved the video and also how you respond to so many comments. great work. perhaps it's worth checking out the coco oil / water combination for extraction. it yields a brighter green and pure oil with solid impurities sinking in the liquid, once the pure oil sets on top.
I’m sure that people are discovering new, and better ways all the time. Science is just beginning to take it seriously, so there’s a huge amount of info coming out all the time.

Very helpful info 👍🏻 - I assume that you put it in the oven to decarboxylate with the alcohol covering the plant matter. Also, is there is any alcohol left in the finished product?

yo thank you for saying what you said about decarbing weed, i've never done that when cooking with weed and the stuff ive made always worked really well.
Didn't check the comments but here is a suggestion... take the finished jar outside and let the sun remove the green chloroform color. (nice NE accent)
You definitely need to decarb it. Just like THCA and THC, you have CBDA and CBD. If you want to be able to eat it instead of smoking it, the CBD needs to be converted. Blessings from Illinois! Great video.

Hemp oil is actually in many places I hv been getting it for yrs from trader Joe's , I don't hv the luxury of having a home ,because free will wander lust ,and at 81 I'm way to lazy to make myself

I found a few websites saying that for CBD you need to cook it for an hour in the oven at 290° and that just infusing it in the oil it doesn't get hot enough deal with that with what you will I've got mine baking in the oven at 290 right now

Yes, I don't see why both of those won't work. Make sure the olive oil can be heated to at least 250 degrees. The olive oil also won't be in solid form when cooled.

Question ; what happens if the temperature is hotter ?
Hotter at which point? Decarbing it? Melting it in oil?
After CBD oil is complete, what is the best way to store and what a good duration time?
We store it in mason jar in the fridge. A year is a good time frame to go by, but not an exact one we got by. We have a couple jars that are a bit beyond a year. Still good.

I only have shot tons of marijuana ,is there a way to get the thc out of plant material to make cbd? Ugh i hate weed but spend alot on supplements for my family and animals .I should grow hemp then??
It’s difficult to separate the two. These days most seed companies will have CBD strains. That’s what we do.

I’m worried my oils gone bad, I used olive oil (a good one) I’ve had it for over a year, there’s a white sediment at the bottom but oils not rancid, will it make me sick? Is it bad? Should I just pour off the good oil and chuck the residue? Thanks in advance

We’ve never used olive oil.
One of the main reasons we use coconut oil, is that it’s very stable.
I know very little about infused olive oil.

Did you figure out if you need to decarboxylate the CBD plants? I know why I have to decarb my THC plants, I’m not sure about just CBD plants though. It’s to turn THC-A into THC for ingesting is why we decarb them. Not sure if needed for CBD though since no THC, or very little THC. I’m curious myself now

Yes, it definitely will work. Use the same process.

I wouldn’t count on that. Chances are that THC would be activated by the heat from the rest of the extraction process. The only way to be sure you’re not getting THC would be to use a strain that contains no (or very little) THC.
Nah I would dump the ground flower in the oil then strain it afterwards to get the most potency.
No. You need to soak in grain alcohol for maximum potency. Strain and evaporate the alcohol and mix the remaining bit with coconut oil then use that in your cook. Extracting straight into oil is not effective. You need to extract first then mix with oil.
So we are in the process of hanging them up to dry for a few weeks because we heard from old schooler that it will increase the potency. My question is why does the dried go in the fridge? You might of mentioned it already but can you give some details of how this works? Thanks 🙏
It goes in the freezer to cool it down. The best way to get the most our of it is slow and low heat in the crock pot. So it helps it to come to temperature slowly. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I would think a pot on the stove would work. On low and watch your temperature. Actually maybe a double boiler would be better I think.
Put it all in a mason jar and put that in a pot of boiled water on the LOWEST stovetop setting for a few hours.If you can keep the jar off the bottom of the pot, all the better.

The process needs heat. You could make a tincture by soaking it in alcohol.

You could use olive oil. I cannot answer if it would work with distillate in coconut oil. We haven't tried that yet.

When you put it in the freezer, you canceled the decarboxylation.
Once it’s been decarboxylated, it doesn’t go back. I’ve done it without chilling it too. I really see no difference. Please keep in mind, I’m old, and I learned this stuff from folks older than me. All I knew was that it worked. The knowledge and info about this stuff is growing at a rate that’s hard to comprehend.

Actually, there are two ways to get CBD. You can grow Hemp, which is not Marijuana, and has only a tiny bit of THC in it. Or you can use Marijuana, and extract the CBD from that by separating it from the THC. But that’s some more serious chemistry than we’re comfortable with.
So we just by actual CBD seeds, and grow our own hemp.

Cool video but that's a lot of effort for such a weak dosed product... I get cbd isolate at $10 a gram and its water soluable so every gram equals 1000mg cbd so I'm making 30ml bottles totaling 8000mg of cbd using 8 grams of isolate, no decarb needed just add it to my coconut oil and stir till dissolved. Each drop is 20mg cbd so I can do 5 drops and be good, no need to drink like a shot glass plus to get your dose
