Without the lifting rear window you will need to run the straps through the small sliding window. It may be a bit wobbly since the connection points are not closer to the edges of the load. You may need to make a loop from light rope or paracord and create a sling that holds it at the front tip of the shell and tie that back to the straps too. Hard to tell without actually doing it. The good news is that the Gladiator hard top would be lighter since the front panels are separate so it should have no problem lifting the weight.
We're working on a solution for the Gladiator now. Because of it's universal design, you could probably get creative and find a way to lift your Gladiator hard top. It may require some extra straps because the Gladiator's top is smaller and doesn't balance as well as the Wrangler hard tops.
@@trinity31409 We wouldn't suggest running the straps through the rear glass. That would put the load on the glass itself which isn't designed for that and could cause your rear window to break.
I like this product more than most every other option I've seen. Simple, effective, cost efficient. One modification I want to make is with the straps. I don't want to have the strap pressing against the weather seal around the rear lift glass, and I dont want to have to leave the lift glass open. Rather than use the 2 adjustable straps that run front to back on each side, I want to incorporate the Topsy Hinge Hoist Bracket at the rear, combined with carabiners. Then I would use one of the straps in the front but run it side-to-side. My first question is whether this would cause any issues with the ropes, particularly the ability to keep the top level. My second question regards mounting the rear pig-tail lag bolts. In the factory configuration, they’re mounted 2 inches outside of the plumb line. Would that be the same if attaching near the glass hinges or could they be mounted straight up? Look forward to your input.
We're currently working on a Gladiator solution. Because the hoist is designed to be a universal style product, you could get creative and probably come up with a way to lift your G Gladiator hard top.
Thanks for the video. Installed with paper instructions, which were not helpful. Very happy with the purchase though!!!
Can you lower the top all the way to the ground?
Any update on Jeep Gladiator option?
Wondering if this would work for a 2023 ford bronco 4 door. If not you should make one that will work..Great idea
There’s no reason this wouldn’t work on Bronco top from what I see

🙌🏻 does this work for Gladiator??? Your videos rock! Us JeepHers appreciate it! ❤
I hope it does, I just ordered it!

@@Quadratecany solution for the gladiator top yet?
Looks like the set up I made for my kayaks, simple and effective. That looks like my give away Jeep, still waiting on my phone call, lol.
Hmmm.... stay tuned...

I have the same Gladiator fit question.

@@Quadratec I already have a creative solution. I was looking for some thing that was more aesthetic and simpler to operate.
tried to buy it says does not fit jeep cj on your site
It's a "universal" style product. You should be able to lift your CJ hard top just the same as any other Wrangler.
Has anyone used this for a 4 door bronco? I ordered this and then realized that the back ends are different.
I need 300lbs. Hard top with a RTT.
If you have the space, you could set up 2 hoists. Then you could remove the RTT with one hoist, and your hard top with the other.
