One thing I missed in the video was uploading a video to Shopify, this is done in the same way as you would upload your product images but due to the larger file sizes of videos, they do take longer to upload.

No problem. I haven't tested load time between the two so can't say and there isn't an optimum file size, the content of the video is more important than the size.

No worries, it is probably related to your theme why it is muted. I'd ask the developer or if it is one made by Shopify, ask in the community forum and someone will probably tell you what you need to do.
Adding video directly as a product media will effect the website loading speed? Will it make the site heavier if we add video with every product (50-60) along with images?
I haven't tested it out but it shouldn't have too much of an impact on load time, especially if you don't have them autoplay. Things like pop-ups have a much bigger impact on load time. As for the site as a whole, it will make the size of the site bigger as every page, media etc you add increases the site size but the size of your site doesn't really impact individual page speed.
@@EcommerceGold Thank you for your quick reply. The speed of the site i.e. the loading speed times is increased by adding the video directly on shopify store. On the other hand if we add the URL from you tube, it uses the you tube streaming option, so i guess the impact is there specially with more SKUs.
I've just tested the speed of a product page on my demo store, once with a video uploaded to Shopify and once with an embedded youtube video and the performance was exactly the same.

Also browsers only load the page when a visitor lands, not the whole site, which is why different pages load at different speeds due to the elements on that page.
Hi, a couple of questions re: the embed process. Can you choose the position the video will land on the page before you insert it and how do you delete an embedded video? I don't see where it is possible to delete one?

No problem and glad it was helpful. That’s something to do with your UA-cam settings, I can’t set them to be muted.

I embedded a video but it won't resize on a mobile browser, so it looks a little funny when viewed that way. Anyone know how to remedy this?
