I'm actually not surprised that you're surprised by some of these. Many content creators and even some of us regular viewers seem to be out of touch with reality 😅 The average makeup buyer isn't buying new products all the time. These products are called "bestsellers" not "best quality products." A lot of people, once they find one item that they love will repurchase it for years. I know several people who've been buying the same product/s for 15+ years and then here I am with a new makeup product every other week. If I didn't find the YT beauty community, you bet I'd be buying the same foundation and concealer for the rest of my life. Instead, I have 20 foundations and concealers 😂 The point is, if someone was introduced to the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer 10 years ago and they enjoy it, they probably have no reason to switch it up. Am I skeptical of some of the best sellers? Definitely but I am not totally surprised that UD's Naked 3 made the list.
I'm skeptical as well but not surprised. My mom has bought that green and pink packaged mascara for over 30 years. I understand though because that's safe and you know you're not wasting money. I've wasted money on makeup because of constantly trying something new. I'm not going to stop trying new things because I'm in the community. Someone like my mom has staple products. One foundation, mascara, eyeshadow (not a palette, a single), blush, powder, lipstick, etc. While I'm sitting here trying to decide between everything. Also knowing it'll all go bad before I can use it all.😂
Morgan, the Urban Decay Naked 3 is probably #1 because the average customer wants a neutral color story that will go well at work etc. It was definitely something I looked at the first time I went to Sephora because I figured the colors would go with everything and it would be difficult to get it wrong. Although you have many makeup savvy followers, the novice would probably reach for the Naked 3 pallet.
I really love my UD naked 3 palette. I think is the color story what made me fall in love with this eyeshadow palette. I love the cool toned pink shades. It’s not ABH formula, but in my opinion it has a decent quality, and so easy to work with. That might be why people love it so much. It’s beginners friendly, the shades basically blend itself. I always love all the looks I create with it. Even when I do someone else makeup with this palette they love it.
And boy am I glad to have tried the mini Nars concealer because it is just ok. Nothing to rave about. People have to remember, you can't go by what anyone on UA-cam or Sephora tells you. You really have to try for yourself. There are so many good drugstore concealers now too.

I think if everybody did a big deep dive into Sephora they’d find out just how super shady Sephora really is. Great video! That said, I'm a little skeptical about what Sephora has listed as their top "bestsellers," and I wouldn't be surprised if Sephora's bestsellers list takes into consideration factors other than actual sales volume and popularity. As we've seen with algorithms for social media, it's not always a transparent process, and there definitely are internal biases about what gets shown first.
Right I usually look for top rated instead of bestseller, like u may buy something and totally hate it! But if it's good enough you want to tell others about it great thing you just found!
I love the Lancome Lash idole mascara. I typically buy the mini one. I love your eyeshadow look. The Urban Decay Naked 3 is a top seller at Ulta, too. I think your everyday consumer likes the Naked 3 palette. She is reliable.
I agree, most of the general public have not discovered You Tube for makeup and don't have a clue what to buy and naked pallets are what they think are good because that's the only name they know of. All of my friends and family are guilty of this.
I rarely comment but I have to say in these times were UA-cam makeup videos are not as popular and content is not inspiring etc you always have something exciting and new to share. Reminds me of the old UA-cam days before sponsorships etc were everyone was honest. Love your content ♥️
Yay! So glad to see you do a full face of makeup! I really miss those videos. I love the Haus Labs foundation. I have oily skin but find it stays all day. Like you said, you just don’t apply it too thick. Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday sweet girl. I’ve missed talking with you! Lol. I better leave you some more comments (like you don’t get 100’s of them) just so you know your getting love from Cali!
I used to loathe getting brushes from companies, etc. but the Hank & Henry brushes are absolutely incredible! I now understand why it’s such a big deal!
Sephoras brushes are the best! Mac quality for the synthetic brushes. I bought a few Sephora pro brushes 14 years ago I still have em and use em every day and besides the handle being worn out the brush férrell and bristles are still brand new looking.
I think that “bestsellers” is just a marketing ploy to promote/hype up generally good products that need to up their sale numbers. It’s best to look for the best rated and then read the reviews in order to figure out if the product would be a good fit for you. However, always filter out all the reviews that were given free product in exchange for a review, because those typically are very biased (just check the Milk Hydrogrip eye primer… all the good reviews are from people who got the product for free… if you filter those out, you’ll find that very little people who actually paid for the product like it).
Re: Benefit brow gel… I used to use Anastasia brow powder (I can’t stand pencils or gels) but one day I got a sample of the Gimme Brow. Holy sh*t that stuff is PERFECT. It darkens and fills just the right amount. Looks so natural. I love it! ❤
I used to have Naked 2 and I liked it at the time but I was like 17 and hadn’t discovered indie shadows yet lol. I just prefer a way more sparkly shimmer not a slight sheen
I haven’t tried many of these best sellers, but I find the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer, the ILIA mascara, and the Tower 28 glosses to be super overrated. They aren’t terrible but definitely not what I would recommend to a friend
I don't like cream bronzer, blush and highlight, prefer powders but may try it. I loved naked 3 and still use it for office looks. Being fair makes it fabulous
I’m with you on the Rare Beauty highlighter. It adds so much texture to my skin. Not a fan. Unfortunately I’ve only tried the liquid highlighter, the mascara and a eyeshadow palette and did not like any of them. Hoping to try some more soon.
Not sure what the top eyeliner was, but the Sephora high precision brush liquid eyeliner is nice for dramatic winged liner because it's very opaque and doesn't stain. It has a somewhat cool undertone compared to most liners. I use it pretty often but only if I'm just going out for a few hours in the evening because it smudges very easily. The lancome mascara is also nice, I have long lashes and it doesn't clump or smudge so it's one of my staples for an all day natural look.
I do wonder how they get their top sellers. In my app they are: Setting spray and powder - same as yours Foundation - Fenty Soft Matte (on sale) and then Armani luminous silk. Concealer- same as yours Primer - milk hydro grip Highlight - CT flawless filter Contour - Fenty match stix CC, blush, bronzer - same as yours Eye palette - UD Wild West (on sale) then ND Dream palette Mascara - Lancôme lash idôle Eye line - Same as yours Eyebrow - ABH dip brow, benefit gimme brow, ABH Brow wiz Lipstick - Tom Ford/Sephora (on sale) then CT Matte revolution Lip gloss- same as yours.
I still love my naked palette but for me it’s naked 2 specifically as one I really love and wish they’d bring back and the original! The naked 3 is one I struggled more with formula wise! I’m not surprised rare beauty is so popular because I’ve heard so many good things on tiktok and they are really good products! Not surprised about Dior blush- it is pretty I need coral shade though! I am surprised for lip products they didn’t mention Dior lip oils just because there was so much hype around them!
I’m really surprised by the Naked3! But yeah I decluttered my Naked3 (mirror broke and it was just olddd) but actually looking at the look you made and the color story, I kinda want it again! (And def not paying full price!). I totally agree with needing matte shades and thought of pairing it with the Huda New Nude palette this time
I definitely prefer the Charlotte Tilbury color corrector to the becca. The becca causes my texture to be worse and it's thick and changes the finish of my concealer.
The cat screeching 🤣Late to the party here but I would love to see a Top Reviewed products list (eliminating incentivized) and see what you come up with. Best sellers probably mean the products are likely within budget for a wider audience. Not best formulas like ND. I broke out my UD Cherry and it is SO dusty smh 🌵You should've tried a Lancome mini for only $14 and it's often on the rewards list. I love that you applied the products with tips, not just talk. I feel like ppl have been talking since the Sephora sale. This was a fun break though. Thank you Morgan.
I used to really love the Naked 3 palette. Naked 3 was half price on Sephora recently. People are buying cheaper makeup in this economy. Rare Beauty makes good reasonable priced products. None of these except the Nars concealer are my favorites but good to see what people like.
I've always struggled to find a good color brow product. I'm a redhead but auburn always is too dark and pink looking in my brows. I just tried the abh super skinny brow product in stawburn and the color is perfect. I love that it's a bit stiffer and less creamy than the benefit. My favorite is huda but it doesn't have a great color, and I go through it quickly.
I tried the other rare beauty primer (radiant? I think) yesterday and my god did it bring out my texture and make me look older! But UD naked3, Lancome mascara (any of them really), and nars concealer (both kinds) are my all time favorite products! 😍
Lancome has some of the most underrated mascaras in my opinion! I've tried a few different high end mascaras and I keep going back to my lancome ones because they're so much better! Also love my Maybelline mascaras too.
@@abbybush4875 omg thank you! I love Lancome, especially mascara and complexion products! But I have been having trouble finding my favorite mascara recently and I'm nervous lol
Girl😘.. I just agree with almost all your wonderful opinions on these formula's, like the corrector being not so over hydrating due to the fact ( with dry eyes especially) the concealer will need to be hydrating to an extent and you don't want them all souping lol, together 😅 Your very well experienced in this department, as I have the same skin type, a classy pro artist to be straight up lol. 🇦🇺😂 I'm Australian but anyway, your great Morgan and I appreciate and value all your options and efforts with this channel 👍so so much Thank you greatly😘👌
Not surprised about UD or NARS. The online beauty community is not the centre as people want to assume. Outside of youtube and tick tok- UD and Nars sell really well.
You know I bought the mini because of the hype and I notice too that by the end of the day I look tired. I actually loved the candid concealer from Revlon and they discontinued it.
I got the lightest shade in the Charlotte Tilbury (in Theresa is Dead's voice) bronzer because I thought it was the medium shade in the setting powder. I guess I can't read... 😂 I use it as setting powder still. I don't know if it's the same formula but it does set my makeup nicely.
So funny. My first eyeshadow palette was the Naked palette and I used it til it was GONE. Now I can’t get it anymore (unless you count dupes). I didn’t hardly ever touch the shimmers though. I had no clue back then what to do with shimmers! 😂 Now I’ve become a collector of sorts so there’s that. I have naked3 but haven’t even used it. Sad huh?
I'll say Nars really is my favorite even trying a lot of the new favorites, my natural color fits perfectly with their color vanilla and since i don't use foundation, it's a really good and quick fix and the coverage is natural but not caky.I think the top sales is another proof of it being a safe and solid choice, maybe not necessarily the best, but always good for a backup.
I think a lot of the best sellers are because the average consumer want products that work and are easy to use and once they find something that works and is easy to use their not going to waste time or money trying new things when they’re just trying to get ready for work. If they deviate at all and try a new product it’s probably for a special event or date or going out at night, but you also use up your daily makeup staples more quickly because you use them so much. So basic quick effective and easy to use, less room for error products are going to sell the most in the end and so in that way it makes perfect sense a lot of these are best sellers. Some of the top however, are just trends and hype from social media. As far as the the naked pallete ..only the beauty community got tired of it because it’s “ Been done to death “ or it’s played out and we like to try new things and formulas etc, the average shopper sticks with what works and what they’ve been using forever. If you go into any persons bathroom and their not crazy into makeup like a lot us are , or if they don’t have the time, money or maybe even the desire to risk trying new things ..you always see it front and center. It’s not a bad pallete it’s just that us makeup nerds know it’s not the best the formula etc in 2022. However for most people ease of use and familiarity will win out most of the time for the average shopper and the color story is safe and makes perfect sense for most daily looks so people gravitate towards it.
I never owned naked 3 but with the black friday sales i picked it up at almost half off! Its perfect for me as im always on the go and need something simple and everyday.
I saw that Naked 3 was on sale I, decluttered it a few years ago because a few of the shades broke and bought a new one it’s really good for me because I use 3 eyeshadows at most for most of my looks and the shades are pretty, but I agree more mattes would be nice.
I bet the Bestsellers weighs recent sales more heavily. The sale just happened, which skewed Sephora brand sales since they had an extra discount. If they didn't do this, then Haus Labs couldn't possibly be on the list since it's so recent.
I'd love to see best rated on Sephora. Probably with a rule that the product has to have atleast 100 reviews. For the real tried and true have a rule that it needs atleast 1k reviews.
Hi Morgan good morning happy vlogmas day and happy December and happy winter season and happy Wednesday morning and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
I wonder if Sephora is basing this list on sales without returns? I'm certain that the list would look very different if returns were taken into consideration. For example, the Sephora eyeliners being rated as No.1 could, probably, drop to No.5 if the returns were added. Talking about the Sephora eyeliners, I wish you had used one of them. As we have only just got the Sephora brand in the UK, it would have been interesting to see how these applied. Much love 🌟☃️🌟☃️🌟 PS : Is José doing the editing? The inclusion of the Spanish flag was hilarious 😂
I’m not surprised ud naked 3 is a best seller. People that are not into makeup like us don’t know better, they assume it’s a good formula because of the price and the color story is attractive.
I asked Sydney grace if they could help me dupe naked 3 with their singles and they did and I love it. Some shades are a little different but not by much
Ha!! I purchased naked 3 palette finally during the sale. It’s a whatever palette. The colors are not flattering on me. I’m medium golden skin tone. Bummed I tossed the toss out and can’t return.
I still think that Ofra highlighters are the best. Even though I have so many in other brands Ofra is my fave. I don’t like liquid highlighters either. You can’t go wrong with the benefit brow products. I use them all the time. My #1 fave under eye powder is discontinued and I bought a ton of them so when their gone they are gone Becca under eye brightening. I like benefit hula and Charlotte tilbury bronzers the best. I still like the Morphe setting spray but I also like the CT. Urban decay naked 3? Oy. Idk about that!

MORGAN! Please do a full face of YOU FAVES for holiday makeup. What would you wear to a holiday party. 💋💋💋
My coworker that doesn't really follow makeup influencers was literally just telling me that she needs to buy a new naked 3 palette haha
I agree, most of the general public have not discovered You Tube for makeup and don't have a clue what to buy and naked pallets are what they think are good because that's the only name they know of. All of my friends and family are guilty of this.
Ssshhh I’m 63 and have been following you for a long time. Love your honesty. Sometimes u just make me laugh. Thank YOU Morgan
I just loved the look you did with the eyeshadow! Simple and pretty.
Surprised the rb primer is first instead of hydrogrip, feel like I hear about that one way more lol, also did you seeeee the CT highlighters?
oohh right? And girl I sure DID!!
I have over 40 fondations haus of labs is my favorite it's beautiful skin like and flawless
Phase Zero in Cotton Candy is a delightful dupe for the Dior blush!!
I haven’t tried many of these best sellers, but I find the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer, the ILIA mascara, and the Tower 28 glosses to be super overrated. They aren’t terrible but definitely not what I would recommend to a friend
What concealer would you recommend?
In my app they are:
Setting spray and powder - same as yours
Foundation - Fenty Soft Matte (on sale) and then Armani luminous silk.
Concealer- same as yours
Primer - milk hydro grip
Highlight - CT flawless filter
Contour - Fenty match stix
CC, blush, bronzer - same as yours
Eye palette - UD Wild West (on sale) then ND Dream palette
Mascara - Lancôme lash idôle
Eye line - Same as yours
Eyebrow - ABH dip brow, benefit gimme brow, ABH Brow wiz
Lipstick - Tom Ford/Sephora (on sale) then CT Matte revolution
Lip gloss- same as yours.
Nars radiant creamy concealer is the ultimate I’ve tried so many concealers and that is still my go to
We've all been bamboozled by the best palette I'm shook af lol
The Nars concealer is my favorite concealer, this is my holy grail 💖
Well this explains why Urban Decay won't quit with the Naked palettes.
Sephora collection eyeliners are the BEST. I haven't used anything else since trying them out, probably gone through my 5th or 6th package already.
I agree Sephora eye liners are one of my favorite pencil eye liners and have lots of high end ones!
I totally agree with needing matte shades and thought of pairing it with the Huda New Nude palette this time
The gimme brow is awesomeee it has fibers. I wear that and add glossier boy bros=w on top
I definitely prefer the Charlotte Tilbury color corrector to the becca. The becca causes my texture to be worse and it's thick and changes the finish of my concealer.
Yes the urban decay palette was on sale for Black Friday. Think it was on sale for Black Friday last year too
Awesome, thank you for this video!💖💖💖
I do love your makeup look.I do have this palette which is not my favorite but you did such a beautiful look though.
That Lancôme mascara is #1 for a reason!! It’s probably my fav mascara I’ve ever tried. If you can get a mini def snag it!!!
I ❤ the Makeup by Mario brow pencil! Very natural looking.
You just taught me how to do my eyebrows. Thank you!
Who's buying Urban Decay?!?!
Would luv to see an affordable dupe video for the Sephora best selling products pls lol
Not surprised about UD or NARS. The online beauty community is not the centre as people want to assume. Outside of youtube and tick tok- UD and Nars sell really well.
I HATE the Nars concealer. Hate it. It makes my under eye look a 100 years old. Nope
You know I bought the mini because of the hype and I notice too that by the end of the day I look tired. I actually loved the candid concealer from Revlon and they discontinued it.
Loved this video, thank you!!!
Lancome has always been making great mascaras. Even my grandma would only buy mascaras from lancome.
I am too old to look at tiktok. I love makeup and wear. I love your videos. You are such a beautiful young lady ♥️
Your skin looks stunning.
I saw that Naked 3 was on sale I, decluttered it a few years ago because a few of the shades broke and bought a new one it’s really good for me because I use 3 eyeshadows at most for most of my looks and the shades are pretty, but I agree more mattes would be nice.
Loooove this makeup look 💗💗💗
I loved the part where you go to get the mascara and one can hear the noise and the cat. It was so funny 😁
I love the sephora cream gel or whatever they're called eyeliners for the waterline but they don't last incredibly long.
But I use a colorful eyeliner in my waterline nearly everyday.
Love your videos! Great content.
I bet the Bestsellers weighs recent sales more heavily. The sale just happened, which skewed Sephora brand sales since they had an extra discount. If they didn't do this, then Haus Labs couldn't possibly be on the list since it's so recent.
Sephora lipstick Tan Lines is the perfect nude lip!!!
I love the ilia mascara! fun to see how different we all are
I'd love to see best rated on Sephora. Probably with a rule that the product has to have atleast 100 reviews. For the real tried and true have a rule that it needs atleast 1k reviews.
Great idea!
Rare beauty is really good 😍😍😍
I’m just curious about your lashes. Have you ever used a serum for growth? You can tell me it’s none of my business and I will understand.
She used neuLash, not sure if she still does.
Thank you Morgan!
Hi Morgan good morning happy vlogmas day and happy December and happy winter season and happy Wednesday morning and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
I love this video!!
The ilia and Lancôme mascaras are my two favorites lol
I wonder if Sephora is basing this list on sales without returns? I'm certain that the list would look very different if returns were taken into consideration. For example, the Sephora eyeliners being rated as No.1 could, probably, drop to No.5 if the returns were added.
Talking about the Sephora eyeliners, I wish you had used one of them. As we have only just got the Sephora brand in the UK, it would have been interesting to see how these applied.
Much love 🌟☃️🌟☃️🌟
PS : Is José doing the editing? The inclusion of the Spanish flag was hilarious 😂
I’m not surprised ud naked 3 is a best seller. People that are not into makeup like us don’t know better, they assume it’s a good formula because of the price and the color story is attractive.
Today (Friday, Dec 9th) the Huda Booty Empowered palette is the best-selling. 😂
Unpopular opinion I don't love the haus lab foundation it's fine but it's nothing mind blowing I'll take the newer Lancome foundation any day.
Yes! I think it’s overhyped
Never tried haus labs foundation! Only have liquid shadows from the brand
I asked Sydney grace if they could help me dupe naked 3 with their singles and they did and I love it. Some shades are a little different but not by much
I don't like most cream and liquid highlight either. Powders work best for me.
Naked 3? Never would’ve guessed. That being said, wow, did it look fantastic on you. I know I’ve got it around here, somewhere….
I can’t believe that Naked 3 is a best seller 😮
You don’t have a double chin girlie 😂
Good video!
