Graham Potter is far more qualified than carsley and southgate combined. He coached chelsea pretty well they had some decent results. Club was a disaster.

Playing five attacking midfielders is absolutely ludicrous. It's just as naive as Gareth Southgate was. The ideal team is something in between the two.

This is the best thing that could of happened. The FA would of given him the job after beating nobody’s over this period. We then would of been done over come the World Cup. Rice often plays by himself for Arsenal. No one can plug the entire midfield themselves. Rice might not be as good on the ball, but he's the best when it comes to defence.

Its safe to say no football fans enjoy these regular international breaks and the pointless nations league , but England's top priority has to be getting promoted, as a squad with such quality we never should of been relegated in the first place.
This game was certainly not a time for experimental tactics, starting with no striker was a ridiculous idea

After his first game i was reading comments, and he was being praised like crazy. That was short-lived 😂
He had no wing backs, Trent was in midfield, Lewis started at left back and immediately went into midfield, there was no Walker, no pace at the back, wide open on the counter, Stones, Colwill and Rice were awful and every time Gordon and Foden got the ball they gave it away. Cardiff are rooted at bottom of the championship, our midfielder Siopsis ran the show, as a Bluebirds supporter I loved it, it gave me hope 😂 😂

But two things
1.Trent still can’t defend at all

2. Trying to fit Foden, Bellingham, Palmer, Saka doesn’t work 2 can only play at a time

Totally agree - should have played Walker, also Stones was all over the place for some reason.

There isn't enough creative players in English football. Hod carriers like Rice and Foden are a part of the problem.
We are a fickle nation including talkSPORT. On the one hand we demand all out attack which Carsley tried to do. When that doesn't work, we then slaughter the manager for a team which is great on paper, poor as a team. Expectations are massive for a team that to be fair is poor. Listening to this, why would anyone take on the England job?.
What good team plays all out attack ? The most attackers you can play is 4, anymore then that you are asking for trouble and England players are not smart enough to put 4 in from the start. Jude needs to be played in midfield, really simple decision but both Southgate and Carsley want him up front.
They got to go for Howe. However 😂 I wouldn’t say no to a decent foreign manager. Its prefered to have an English manager but we should do what other nations do.

I didn’t like Carsley until I realised that he was the Man City U18 manager in 2016. Which he had the opportunity to learn from the greatest tactician in football history. So there is a big chance that he is capable to divide a tactics into thousands of pieces and coach them into his players.
I didn’t rate Carsley until I heard that Stones says his ideas are similar to Pep. He plays false 9 instead of outdated poachers. And also, England had 63% possession.
Carsley is a top manager.

Tactics: 09-12 Barcelona, 17-20 ManCity, tiki taka.
Bellingham is the closest player England have in terms of matching the Busquets skill set (he is not anywhere near Busquets level, but he is the best England can find). He has played number 6 for Dortmund at times and also in youth football. Even if you don’t consider him a number 6, he has to be the one because no other players can do the Busquets job as good as he would. Foden, Palmer and Maddison can’t quite do that.
Palmer can be the false 9, similar to Fabregas for Spain.
RicoLewis and Trent can be the Zinchenko and Cancelo.
Eze and Grealish are probably their most tricky wingers who are skill moves capable.
Setford, White and Stones are their most tiki taka capable GK and CBs.
