So I did a little testing with Leo today however I only did that testing in Thunder Cliffs. From that testing I was able to determine that rage worked better there than energy likely due to the fact that the constant getting pummeled by the lightning storm.
I posted on the discord server his death immunity needs to fully cleans him from any CC and make it so that death immunities can't be dispelled by sif, sp daniel etc.
@@dylarrstwilektactics what i mean is that during the 5seconds of death immunity, i've had so many cases where it was either dispelled by sif/daniel or i was fully stun locked with out using the free ult. And neither of those should be possible on a death immunity imo.
From a dev perspective, I think the issue come from how coded he is and because Rage didn't exist back then. The old one is energy and I think they try to modify it by overwriting with rage system. The thing is, it's obviously a conflit (typically a line who screw everything or some value and function calling + old coding way vs new coding way because you always improve with time) and the proper to get a clean new Leo would be to re-do it from scratch. When I did a demo of a game for my Master I did create two separate skills (and not a skill with two conditions) because it was simpler when I needed to copy and modify it for a other purpose (like NPC's creation). Let's be honest, that sadly not gonna happen because they just try to use a bandage on it with the "30 rage generate per sec".
ya its a pretty simple fix even with my college AP coding background i can see that.@@dylarrstwilektactics just give him a passive on A3 to get rage based on hp lost like u said. they already have him coded for it for energy. technically as energy he gains energy as hp lost n attacks done. so they need his passive to give rage based on hp lost and attacks landed. or a more simple awaken system for leo is make leo crit :D keep him energy make him crit. give him crit dmg bouses n he will be golden. :D

I think a good alternative to rage is have it offer some type of other bonus depending on lower HP. Just to avoid it being a "red energy," potentially have it offer some type of stat bonus or something to compensate for it being inferior to energy as an ultimate producer. Just going off the name, to throw a random idea out, potentially offer CC reduction (something that's unique as a skill individually to vanguards) lower HP%.

So Leo would just spin the entire time lol. Once they took away the damage though, Leo became a wet noodle.
I think the rage version would be better in situtations where you use him as a solo frontliner like on a hunter/energy team. On a melee team its just useless
Energy would still be better for that. If Leo takes a few hits, his HP drops and it triggers his Ultimate. With rage, if he takes a few hits, his HP drops and you get a tiny amount of rage... then he takes a few more hits and then he's dead.

is too expensive get a unit awakened, if you are a new pĺayer, you need to wait around 2-3 months to get your first full awakened unit.. or..... pay for that

@@dylarrstwilektactics Yeah I awakened him for that stat boost but not going further than that in case it messes him up. I'll keep watching to see if he gets any better. They just haven't thought it through. Rage is designed for tanks because they are.. tanky.. they don't take much damage. Leo isn't tanky in that way.

As a f2p I'm still working on Daniels awakening so completely ignoring Leo, takes soooo long to get all the shards
