  • Buying a new or pre-owned vehicle often entails considerable stress, financial investment, and time. Car dealers are notorious for using high-pressure strategies to boost their profits over the years.
As a buyer, it's crucial to arm yourself with knowledge and maintain confidence during negotiations. Yet, even more critical is understanding what to keep to yourself. Divulging certain information to the dealer can inadvertently lead to higher costs, leaving you paying more than necessary.

Buying a car especially as a single woman is the most unpleasant experience ever.

1.If you have a trade in, never use a down payment. The down payment goes right into the salesman's pocket.
    2. Always do your homework ahead of time. Know what other dealers are offering.
    3. Get pre-approved for a loan and Know what % bank's are offering. I had a dealer tell me I couldn't get a better rate than they offered. I showed them the % the bank was offering and I asked them to match or beat it. I waited until the last minute to pull this out of my bag

These are all great. The important thing is to let them know you have other options you want to look at, and make sure you get the out-the-door price before you give them access to your trade-in or tell them how you want to pay for it. Always keep them at bay until they get you what you want and what you're comfortable with. Also, the sales person is NOT the final boss. The finance manager and team are the real final bosses so always keep your guard up because they are the worst.

Had a salesman say "Take it home for the weekend". I replied "Don't try that puppy dog sales shit on me." He said "Oh you know that one"?
Always go at the end of the month. They are looking to hit their sales numbers.

Dealers are all thieves, and they ALWAYS try to steal any trade-in you bring along. I hate nothing more in life than having to buy a vehicle, because you know you're going to get screwed as soon as you walk in the door.

Wow, I made the mistake of answering most of these questions over the phone before going to test drive my car. 🤦
I loved the car and felt like I couldn't walk away even though the monthly payments were higher than I am comfortable with, AND they only gave me pennies for what my trade-in was worth.

Why would you go to a car dealership anyway?
Do you own research, like the car that you are looking to buy, look at the quality control.
Such as how often does a car break down.
    Gas consumption.
    Parts.
Going to a car dealership your paying 10 times what the car is actually worth.
Me I definitely would stay away from BMW, Subaru Infinity any Dodge, Porsche Volkswagen, Mercedes, Hyundais.
I will not get any car that is a hybrid or all wheel drive.
