I want to offer you this advice: understand that self discipline has NOTHING to do with beating house advantage games (literally all games in the casino except actual poker). You CANNOT beat these games long term no matter how much discipline you have. So the decision to play these games is the decision to lose money. For several years it was all good, I was having fun and its sorta like what you said about the $100/day rule, as long as I wasn't spending so much money on it I could kinda get away with it. Then I started spending too much time around the wrong friends, hanging out too long at the dope houses, and just like you said, I started breaking my own rules. Spending too much of my money, selling valuables, "borrowing" from others, and some other low-down shit I'd not tell you nor God if He didnt already know. At some point as soon as I'd get some 20s or 100s in my hand I thought, "I may as well just light these bills on fire." Eventually I just got sick and tired of it all. I still feel called back to the lifestyle and the partying all the time, but luckily I've got things in my life that I'm committed to that leave no room for all that other shit. Stay positive, be kind to yourself and take it a day at a time... And please for the love of fuck do not let yourself become a statistic
