Yes, it is a cruiser bike. which is capable enough for city commutes as well as for long rides. The Honda CB350 H'Ness promises a lot on paper. It matches the Classic 350

Royal Enfield 's engines are designed to provide better torque at low and mid range (lower rpm / low gears) which in turn provide more relaxed riding experience ( Initial pulling, better hill climlb, feel more power at lower speed, but inferior top speed) for long journeys. Low end torque engine will have more vibrations than high end torque engines. Even though honda's highness have longstroke engine, * it provides more torque in higher range. so max torque (better speed in road) in higher gears. For cruising in long journeys more torque and power at lower end and mid range is better. I hope someone will compare max torque on each gear for both vehicles and provide more technical review.
*Need to confirm by some one.
More technical:
Engine Power ( HP / CC)= engine speed (rpm) x torque.
Torque is inversely proportional to speed.
Thus, when speed increases (by upshifting gear), output torque (wheel torque - from gear to wheel) will decrease while engine produce constant power (ie. when without increasing acceleration / not to provide more fuel to the engine).
So what?:
Meteor is designed to provide better comfort to rider which is better than highness for the touring purpose (cruising bikes real use). It has its own drawback like more vibrations than honda highness 350.
RE's (Meteor's) new engine is an upgrade in design to compete Japan's rivals. Now it has more modern engine design similar to honda and suzuki. But keeps long stroke engine design and better initial torque at low speed.
