- Honda refreshed Jazz or Fit, as it is known in some markets. The big news is the new 1.5-litre engine available on the Dynamic (or Sport) trim. Honda Jazz Dynamic gets, according to Honda press release, new front styling with wing-like grill. Exterior styling is supposed to be more sporty. Inside there are some new bits of trim, like special upholstery, leather steering wheel, leather gear knob, and some orange stitching, which screams Dynamic or Sport

'I would choose fiesta over jazz' says a lot about your knowledge of cars...
Man, i would love that Honda Jazz with the old Type R motor with 200hp, sporty, pratical, and as a awesome sleeper :D
good review, which tells the complete story you hardly hear elsewhere: Honda upgraded the engine, but then they coupled it to the wrong transmission, so the Jazz is now oddly short-legged and difficult to live with.
People cry when manufacturers use long gearboxes, and when finally someone makes a fun to drive short gearbox, people complain again. Sigh...
@@JeanV1986 i was looking for video's just to confirm it DOESNT have long gears. Glad it doesn't. it means the car will have a lot of pep, despite the displacement.
I enjoy watching your videos!
In recent years, I have been increasingly fond of Honda as a brand. I would define their philosophy as 'Simple is genius'. I have been living in Norway for some time, and I have been impressed by other European markets where I notice that Honda's owners (or at least drivers) are predominantly middle-aged and slightly above middle-aged, and reasonable people. Honda are one of the most reliable cars in the world along with several other Japanese brands, according a lot of researces of the car media world wide.
So, it makes sense to rely primarily on simplified but proven technology.
By the way, the new CR-V will be a lot of pain in the new RAV 4's a...s. I dare to claim that it will be a world wide battle as well.
Greetings and keep good work!
Your videos are always entertaining and interesting! Thanks Marek! By the way, don't think I didn't notice the jazz music being played while you were reviewing a Honda JAZZ.... ;) I love the B3 hammond organ.
Buy a car you need not a car you want, this jazz is perfect for economy & practicality and surprisingly fun to drive, sometimes you forget your driving in a Jazz.
I like Suzuki Baleno's styling over this. Baleno has long hood yet it's spacious inside. This look like a mini MPV. Can't beat the magic seats tho.
Great and honest review.I like your style.
The gear ratios on the US model manual transmission is one of the reasons I bought a Fit-Jazz with a CVT transmission. Better fuel economy (supposedly) and the fact that it was a CVT rather than an old fashioned "slush box," a planetary gearset automatic, also influenced my decision. This was the first time I ever bought a car with an automatic transmission. Apparently the manual shift model that Honda ships to Poland has the same problem with the gear ratios that the US model has: 6th is too close to 5, and is too high: it requires a rather high engine speed to keep the car rolling along at highway speeds of over 115 km/h. On a flat surface, with no wind, and driving at a steady 120 km/h, the CVT on my 1.5 liter Fit has the the engine running at only around 2000 RPM (if I recall correctly). Engine speed creeps up quite a bit as the car goes up an incline and falls a bit below 2000 rpm when the car is rolling down. If the gear ratios on the manual transmission had been different, with 6th gear, the top gear, having a smaller ratio of engine speed to wheel speed, I very well might have bought the manual transmission version of the car.
Great video! I have a question though. I watch a lot of car review videos (and yours I regard among the best). However, when reviewing city cars, why does no one review a car’s turning circle?
Thanks.Good point, I suppose it's got to do with mini roundabouts in the UK.
I'll try adding it in the future. Maybe I'll devise some other test. Usually if I find maneuvering difficult for whatever reason (visibility, big turning circle, etc.) I mention it. There was nothing extraordinary about this one.
Marek Drives how about Hybrid model of Honda Fit??
+Kashif Adnan we don't get the hybrid model in Poland. I've never seen or driven one. If it's anything like the Insight, it's a waste of time.
Marek Drives it is not like insight. However, thank you for quick response. Your reviews are very good and lively. I just stumbled upon your channel and I was totally absorbed in your reviews. Keep up the good work mate. I was about to give order for Prius Alfa from Japan but I stumbled on your review of this car. Now Prius Alfa is not on my wanted list however, I am still interested in Prius car or Honda Hybrid Fit.
Finally :)
could you describe the driving compared to old suzuki swift sport 136?
What about quality of body work compared to others?
Jazz in asian market has keyless entry
It also has keyless entry and ignition in Europe, but not in Dynamic trim.
can you do a review on the new seat ibiza an vw polo please...
So is honda jazz noisier or mazda?
Imagine the Jazz with a v6 xD xD xD, the ultimate pocket rocket
The front end would be so heavy that it wouldn't go around corners then! ;) The Honda Accord's handling has always been ruined by the V6, thankfully they have switched to a 2.0t. For the Jazz, the 1.5t would definitely be the way to go. Too bad it feels like a tin can, has no stability at highway speeds and is incredibly noisy.
Mind you, the new Accord available in NA looks quite nice, shame it's not available in Europe
American Accord was never the European Accord and US only, at least not in the more recent years. It was always the Acura D segmenter we had here in Europe.
all this things that you don't get at this trim level are things I don't need anyway (e.g. why not use a key to start the car?... then it's not flying around somewhere in the car, I better like this and don't spend money for unnecessary stuff). ...I need some boot e.g. for a dog, ...and the car looks very nice from outside, I would consider this car (...satnav, I don't care, I don't need it in daily life, smartphones help better at holidays), so I just need a great boot, good steering and shifting and good seats and a nice look. (Fiesta looks terrible for me, squeezed)
Of course, it's certainly a refrigerator. Ha ha
Too little talk about the engine, not even an acceleration or VTEC sound.
Ford 1.0 really?
Can I make a small suggestion- can you discuss consumption in Miles Per Gallon in your English version please.
Love the reviews btw and man, I love the Jazz.... music!
I'll try including it in subtitles. I know UK and US talk MPGs and lb-ft, but most of my audience understands only L/100km and Nm :)
Dan O Do the maths. 282,5 is the magic number.
Marek Drives thank you! Appreciate it's not simple for different audiences. Mostly me.
Your fridge is white?
That's right Sherlock.
Marek Drives
Ok, I remember a white fridge from my childhood days, in my grandma house :)
Nice review btw, Marek
It's not called "white goods" for nothing.
Marek Drives
Cars were “automobiles” back in the days, chillax man.
Do you review “white goods”?
Only Hondas apparently :)
review the ford ecosport 2018 1000cc 125 hp !!!
Why would you like to watch a review of a car, which is a worse version of the Fiesta?
Marek Drives because i have it and i think its prety good for the money it costs . i have the business edition..could you tell mr why you re saying its worse than a fiesta?and have you try the ecosport 2018?
nice review but horrible jazz with fake b3 organ.....please
Expensive as all Hondas. (But what for;)
Reliability?
seriousbe Not enough for me. I think the big profit is the motivation. Hyundai & Kia are reliable too. Maybe more.
@@Snowpeak74 hum,no.
