  • In this video, Austin, lead engineer and owner of Griffin Armament, dives into the significance of American manufacturing and the current state of the industry. He explores major CNC brands like Mazak, Haas, Okuma, DMG Mori, and Doosan, highlighting their crucial roles in metal manufacturing and the reality that many of these crucial components are made outside of the United States. Austin also emphasizes the need to revive American pride in innovation and celebrates the often-overlooked contributions of manufacturing workers as the unsung heroes of our nation.

    I hope you can continue making great reliable products. PlIt’s been tough finding new employees for every business. Keep your manufacturing in the US. I ordered a Bushwacker 46 nine months ago. I’m still patiently waiting for the best.

    I am an apprentice CNC machinist that runs two Okuma mills and I'm learning a DMG. I work in a tool and die shop. I started as a Tool and Die apprentice but as part of my tool and die apprenticeship I did a rotation in the CNC department and turned out to be pretty good at it and they asked me to stay and so I did, now even though I'm just an apprentice I run my two Okuma's on the night shift by myself. We rarely make the same part twice due to the nature of our shop. I'm glad that an old timer taught me the importance of mastering the setup process early. We use FCS a lot but often times we have to revert back to a normal vice that has to be indicated to zero.
    Where I work we don't really use lathes but I did have some exposure to the lathe in school and I really enjoyed it. I hope later in my career I get more opportunities to work with cnc multi axis lathes and mill turns.
    My goal is to eventually work in the gun industry. I'd come work for Griffin but unfortunately you guys are on the opposite side of the big lake =(

    Tons of machine shops here in Oklahoma. We are the manufacturing capital of the united states. A lot of shops are struggling because of the Biden administration’s stranglehold on the oil business. Maybe outsourcing to a company here might be beneficial. I’ve been a machinists for over 25 years. Tons of talented people here. Probably one of the most 2A supporting states in the union.

    Great video. Great company. I was hoping to see you making a DUAL-LOK™ PSR™ (OTB) 7 SUPPRESSOR (7.62MM) in FDE. I have been trying to buy one. From Griffin armament using factory direct for the past few months.

    Any plans for more hub compatible 5.56 suppressors? I love the idea of the explorr but I hear the flash capability is lacking

    • @GriffinArmamentOfficial
      @GriffinArmamentOfficial  Місяць тому

      The flash isn't too bad on the Explorr lineup, but it's certainly not marketed as a flash-hiding suppressor. However, our Explorr 300 line does better at hiding flash on 5.56 platforms than the Explorr 224. As of now, these are our only hub compatible 5.56 suppressors
