They talk about this episode on the podcast. This literally happened to Glenn irl, and when he told everyone about it they had a similar reaction, caught up on why he was eating cereal in his car. Makes it so much funnier
Great episode. LegalEagle actually analyzed the legal aspects of this episode, and it surprisingly follows a lot of certain courtroom procedures properly.
The evolution speech is one of my favorite moments from any show. It is such an absurd argument, literally "Science changes, and I'd rather pick a belief and stick to it", but he gives this giant over the top and hilarious presentation. What really does it for me, though, is the fact that he actually wins the argument. They could have played it safe and had him get shut down. But it is so much funnier for Dennis in his arrogance to lose the argument, because he doesn't know shit about the topic lol. Mac's entire argument hinges on Dennis never having looked at a fossil before 😂
Its genuinely a good lesson in the dangers of using evidence without examining it first - it was a position dennis could have won if he had done the work, but because he defaulted to "well, everyone knows that...", he failed to back his point up.
The funny thing is that Dennis wouldn't even have to have seen a fossil record. All he had to do is point out that decades worth of research and meta studies related to evolution have essentially proven it. Every credible organization related to the scientific field has pretty much agreed that evolution is factual. If anything, Mac's speech is a great example in how ppl can get away with dumbass points if the person they're arguing with doesn't know how to tackle the specific talking point.
Writers had to have had so much fun writing this episode. Legally, most of the arguments wouldnt hold weight in a court......but in the courtroom of emotional peers, its straight fire. I felt like I was witnessing a flat earth comment thread lol
My favorite episode Although my favorite line from Mac didn’t make the edit. "I won't change my mind, cause I don't have to. Cause I'm an American. I won't change my mind on anything, regardless of the facts that are set out before me. I'm dug in, and I'll never change."
Officially documented, I went to a nitwit school and have been certified. “No donkey brains” 😂😂😂 also every time I see this episode it reminds me of being in Indiana and seeing a barn roof spray painted “evolution is a lie” and I can’t unsee how blatantly stupid that idea is
I wouldn't be crediting Mac on his arguments though. This episode was specifically designed to show how logical fallacies are used to win arguments like "Well if science gets things wrong that must mean I'm right!"
I got rear-ended by someone who wasn't aware enough to brake before slamming into me while waiting for a light. Frank owes Dennis full compensation. Spilling cereal instead of a perfectly normal liquid to have in the car is irrelevant
Am I the only person who doesn’t that Mac taking 3 hours to make his “Trial Meter” isn’t necessarily excessive? I feel that if I was going to make something similar (even though it’s pretty basic) that it would probably take one person in the neighborhood of 3 hours to make? Love your videos and always look forward to new ones. 😊
I so badly just wanna be a background character in the bar haha. id do it for free, id just put my head down the whole time if needed. i just want to be there.
Mac did low key make some decent points about the pitfalls of science and how some people worship it as others do religion...but he did it in one of the dunbest and most "Mac" ways he possibly could, and I'm here for it lol
It’s hard to imagine any of the gang as kids, especially…well all of them. Except Dee. I can (and frequently do) imagine Sweet Dee as an eighteen year old. Is that wrong? Who asked ya.
Was on Dennis's side the entire time, he's literally got to defend himself against morons who think clouds are cotton candy, there's no winning when morons take the moronic side.

To be fair eating cereal in your car while driving is an absolute psycho activity
@@jakereber8932 not too much different then drinking coffee out of a open mug cup, which i do
@@mjusda4353 Yeah but with cereal you have to eat it with both hands
@@drunkpaulocostaI don’t mind I got a bunch of behind the scenes info was fun
Rip to the podcast.
I love how this whole trial is literally over spilled milk
The vibes on his episodes is like chilling with your smart, film loving friend.
My friend, good vibes🤘🏽🍃
Great episode. LegalEagle actually analyzed the legal aspects of this episode, and it surprisingly follows a lot of certain courtroom procedures properly.
Uhhh, filibuster.
Funny how LE rates IASIP higher than all of the others, even the law procedure shows lol

It really is a peak Always Sunny moment. Mac just going through time calling all of the greatest thinkers in history stupid bitches 😂😂😂
Its genuinely a good lesson in the dangers of using evidence without examining it first - it was a position dennis could have won if he had done the work, but because he defaulted to "well, everyone knows that...", he failed to back his point up.

It's so many fallacies woven together tighter than an AXP highlights reel. Too funny.
this episode dangerously flirts with being my favourite in the series, thank you for taking me back James
Solid episode. Proof you don’t need a big story as long as the actors and dialogue hit hard.
This past run of episodes is incredible. And I love Danny breaking when Charlie says "do... You... Have any such certificate?"
Look, in Always Sunny, it's not about who wins, it's about who loses. And that's usually Dee.
Writers had to have had so much fun writing this episode. Legally, most of the arguments wouldnt hold weight in a court......but in the courtroom of emotional peers, its straight fire. I felt like I was witnessing a flat earth comment thread lol
so many emmy worthy deliveries in this episode.
THAT IS CRAZY THAT IS INSANE. HOW DO YOU HIT ME AGAIN????
Frankly, I think this is Mac's best moment on the entire series.
one of. for me it's "the dance". genuinely moving.
@@jack_rabbit probably his best moment around the entire gang. A close second could be on season 12
love it two of my all time favorites back to back
Classic ep. Love Mac's boards- the visual gag of the gavels, the literal "fence" and the bell sound whenever someone drops a bomb.... so good
Do... YOU have any such certificate?!
peak delivery
@@jlog1c The way Charlie's voice increases in pitch as the sentence goes on 😂
James! It is 6:58 pm here and I’m SO happy you’ve gotten to easily my fav episode in the show
Season 8 might b my favourite of all time after rewatching it with you
I love how much you appreciate this show, so nice seeing you in this chill type vibe
About 3:30pm here, this is a fun little break from emails and grading, for me.
My favorite episode
Although my favorite line from Mac didn’t make the edit. "I won't change my mind, cause I don't have to. Cause I'm an American. I won't change my mind on anything, regardless of the facts that are set out before me. I'm dug in, and I'll never change."
And people don't see how this is satire 😂
this was my 1st always sunny ep and what a start it was!
This was part of the in-flight entertainment on a flight I was on. I think I watched it like 4 times that flight because there was fuck all else.
This episode has to be my favorite. I cry laughing every time Frank hits Dennis again😂😂
Officially documented, I went to a nitwit school and have been certified. “No donkey brains” 😂😂😂 also every time I see this episode it reminds me of being in Indiana and seeing a barn roof spray painted “evolution is a lie” and I can’t unsee how blatantly stupid that idea is
That ending has got to be Dee’s best GOD DAMN IT ever
One of best episodes of the show.
9:54 10:00 Mac doing Columbo impression
love you can see frank trying not to laugh when charlie asks about dennis’s certificate
I wouldn't be crediting Mac on his arguments though. This episode was specifically designed to show how logical fallacies are used to win arguments like "Well if science gets things wrong that must mean I'm right!"
Mac went full Terrence Howard in this episode. 😂
Thank you, James! 🌞
I got rear-ended by someone who wasn't aware enough to brake before slamming into me while waiting for a light. Frank owes Dennis full compensation. Spilling cereal instead of a perfectly normal liquid to have in the car is irrelevant
“It took you 3 hours to make that?
the churchbell in this show is the equivalent of the vine boom
I have pulled up to a set of lights in the past and noticed a woman in the car beside me eating a bowl of cereal. I regret not recording it.
Am I the only person who doesn’t that Mac taking 3 hours to make his “Trial Meter” isn’t necessarily excessive? I feel that if I was going to make something similar (even though it’s pretty basic) that it would probably take one person in the neighborhood of 3 hours to make?

4:40am atm, gonna get something to snack and head to bed 😅
There’s a compilation video out on UA-cam of Dee saying god damn it. Idk why but I find it rather entertaining
you should totally watch this Australian show called Mr Inbetween. it’s only 3 seasons and it’s a great show
Mac went full MAGA in this one.
4:49 savage and idiot, Dennis' favorite insults 😂
Team Dennis, the interior damage was caused by Frank 💯
Mac trying to make science seem like a religion undermines his own beliefs LOL!
Yeah, Mac wasn't spitting crap except just that.
That's what Christian conservatives usually do, though.
6:15 pm on a monday
Not in philly
4:44 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's 21:30pm here while watching....and I now want cereal lol
Dee's god dammit at the end is do damn good, I felt that coming from deep in her soul.
It’s hard to imagine any of the gang as kids, especially…well all of them. Except Dee. I can (and frequently do) imagine Sweet Dee as an eighteen year old. Is that wrong? Who asked ya.
Sadly, I've known people who use similar arguments to Mac's.
Same.
"Use a damned cup for your cereal in the car." -James (dead ass seriously)
3:40 pm when I started the video
*Science is a liar…………..sometimes.*
Oh shit it’s the best episode, all downhill from here brother.
Today I've got a double cheddar, double chicken, lettuce, pickles, mayo, mustard, on sourdough, with some extra toasty cheezits.
Please watch Black Berry at some point
It's 12:20 PM here :)
2:34 It's funny you say that because that actually did happen to Glenn Howerton, so they wrote they situation into the show!
Was on Dennis's side the entire time, he's literally got to defend himself against morons who think clouds are cotton candy, there's no winning when morons take the moronic side.
I'm going to assume for my sanity that you understand why Mac's presentation was a funny pile of nothing that actually gives credibility to science.
8:10 you were THIS CLOSE to "i think better call saul better WATCH OUT"
Every time you finish a season you should watch the bloopers for that season and then do a reaction.
it's 6:37, I have just enough time to watch this and then turn the flyers game on. Thanks for asking
