I am 14 but I only listen to old rock and I hate my generation. It is so sad that no one from my generation listens to good music. But Scorpions makes me feel strong...
Cheer up, bro, you're not the only young person with good taste in music. Music like this will always be appreciated-it's eternal. And, sadly, the vast majority of the human race seem to have very bad taste when it comes to art-in whatever it's form. Having mass appeal is in no way an indication of quality-but often the opposite.
Well you are now 25 so I’m sure you’re happy the Scorpions are still going strong. I am too and so glad you keep the rock and metal music alive. Carry the torch. I know if I had a Son he’d not have much of a choice but to listen to classic rock or metal. I have a good eclectic taste in music so he wouldn’t get bored of just hearing one genre.
I remember buying Scorpions In Trance back in 1987 on Cassette. Very accessible first listen. Living and Dying is one of their best ballads. You can feel the emotional content. Klaus Meine's voice is great. One of the best metal singers in the world.
I remember again that it was 1990 when there was new electricity in my village and I played this cassette from a friend borrowed it with a tape recorder, the stereo that my father just bought when I was in high school
I love all incarnations of the Scorpions. They've swerved wildly from one side of the road to the other creating excellence wherever they go. A legacy worthy for ALL TIME, FOREVER!
Look at music charts history (1960s, 70s, 80s, early 90s) and look at 2000s music charts. I'm simply disgusted the more I get into 2000s music charts. I can't even consider the charts anymore when I'm looking for some good song.

If you want a thicker, heavier version of Black Sabbath, check out Witchfinder General, Trouble, 80s era Pentagram (or for a tamer Black Sabbath, 70s era Pentagram), and Candlemass. Another great sing-along metal band would be Iron Maiden, another vocally-demanding band to sing along to would be Judas Priest, and on the atmospheric and experimental side of rock that King Crimson loved, I would recommend Pink Floyd (the era from 71-77). Hope that's enough music for you for now.

There's plenty of good modern music. Just find what you like. There's a vast library to draw from, both old and new.
