Has anyone else caught all of the Shakespeare's Hamlet references in this song? "Some princes don't become kings" --Hamlet is a prince who can't become king because his uncle Claudius takes his throne after Hamlet's dad dies, even though Hamlet is the rightful king. "Even at the best of times I'm out of my mind"--Hamlet has gone mad from grief and is manic after seeing his father's ghost. Throughout the play he waivers between moments of complete madness and lucidity. "You only get what you grieve"--Hamlet is in a state of intense grief after losing his father and finding out that his uncle killed his dad and then married his mom. "The only thing that's ever stopping me is me, hey." --Hamlet constantly chastises himself for being indecisive and not taking revenge on his uncle for killing his dad. He is the only one stopping himself from taking action,which he is angry at himself for. "I testify if I die in my sleep then know that my life was just a killer dream"--Hamlet constantly contemplates suicide and wishes for death. He compares death to dreaming. He also becomes a killer when he kills Polonius, Laertes, and Claudius at the end of the play. If he did die in his sleep, his life could be summed up as a killer's dream. This is what happens when an English teacher tries to make a playlist for Hamlet so her students can listen to it after they finish the play! lol.

It really _does_ have that aggressive Set It Off edge to it, but is very clearly Fall Out Boy and is just...perfect.

I'm French and I have no idea of what it's supposed to mean.
"Eau" literally means "water". But we use "Eau de parfum" or "eau de Cologne" to refer to perfume. That's the name we give to cheap perfume since it's diluted. Higher quality perfume is "essence de parfum" or something like that (I don't really buy perfume though).
So, in that context it would mean "smell of resistance" (at least this is the closest we can get).
But I need to know why tf they decided to sing this in french. I was doing some work and it was my background music ans I just stopped and I was like "did he really said that?". Is there something about us and perfume ? Or did he just said it in french becausz it sounded better ?
