Yoh🤔Woven. I am a South African married in Namibia. I will be spending my first summer in the North later this year. Your videos are more than helpful for me. #M gonna be so relevant 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
hello from America Woven. When will you bless us with more videos. Me and my mom love learning about Namibia from you. thanks and much love and success
Hello Herbert 👋🏾. Thank you very much for tuning in. I hope to upload soon again, time hasn’t been on my side. Greetings to your mom and please extend my gratitude 🙏🏾❤️❤️.
The omungome reminds me of some of our village girlfriend, they would prepare and gift it to you. Indeed, good days never return. Thank you @ItsWoven for always being creative.
You village life is one of your best videos and please don't stop showing us ..it's so educational it makes me proud to be an African..we were pounding our miles before machine 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰✌💯
I love watching your videos. A lesson to be learned always A way to live without all these modern equipment. I sure enjoy your videos and best off all you sing while you work 😉 that makes doing things so much easier and faster a joy.😊🇹🇹/🇺🇲
I happen to be watching this video in the early morning and the chickens/chicks sounds are so refreshing! I miss the mornings in the village. I appreciate how you continue to make insightful content around the Oshiwambo culture. I remember when we used to "grill/roast" mahangu too to make our snack but we didn't have sugar! So nostalgic. That omungome looks so good. Also I've never made or seen it fried we usually boil, moveva with the Mahangu mix shili moplastic. Great video Woven 👏🏿👏🏿
That bread made from under the ash break the record 🔥 taking us back to the root .. the one with oil we only use to make it when parents are not around 🤣 oil was a luxury that time chai .. we always put ash on the pot cover instead of cooking oil just because.. “adult dnt make bad things” 🤣🤭
I enjoyed this video chiiile Taking me back to the good old days when we use to do these breads 😊 We also use to make the one you put in a plastic and cook it in the pot with water. The raisins idea worked out so perfect 👌🏼😋 When everyone is working, it becomes so easy and fast, there by the pounding.
Beautiful content as always 🙌🏼. The 3 pot leg cover method , we used ashes as oil supplement to make oshingome. So you just cover the base with wet ash and put on the mixture.
Sister, you are so very capable! Making breakfast- or food - is truly laborsome and definitely a labor of love - especially in your neck of the woods. Watching your channel is like an adventure. Thank you! "I didn't sign up for this" Awesome that you are 'adulting'.🥰
Hi woven.. Beautiful video... Out 10 sieves one is like that moshimbaanhu we say taweefa eeheke.. So what we do with such sieves .. We let it overnight nenge tau uhwala momeya nge atutu komatango ... so when it become wet eshi toka tulamo iilya, eembululu ohandi fiti kashona and only fine particles will be able to pass through..
Salut il ya une très grande distance entre nos pays. Mais, ils ya beaucoup de similitudes entre nos mode de vie. Je vien de la Guinée (conakry). J'aime l'Afrique, le plus beau continent🙂🥰
It feels like its been a year without a video from you my lady. And my notification did not go off. Was waiting since the instagram notice and l kept refreshing my youtube page. Good to see you and l live for these village vlogs!
The chickens🤣🤣Those things are the most annoying things in the morning. As soon as they see you going out of the room they’re determined to follow you all over until you give them iilya and I find that so funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your contents are educating us😊, just imagine I grew up in the north but I have never tasted the iilya snacks. Plus it's very nice to have a full house, we only use to be four in the house including the helper😣. Now I even get bored around a lot of people😂
