I've always wanted to see one of these. I know for a fact that those kids work their butts off to try and be picked up by a label and be successful. I'm not a part of the idol community in any way, but I study aspects and components in regards to societal and cultural significance. I do think that the fan meet and greets can be somewhat uncomfortable with the large age and gender gap that's occurring. I just hope these young kids are well protected and cared for.

To put it bluntly, Japan has historically had a terrible pedophilia issue. It is normalized for older men to openly oogle young women like this (as young as 12 and lower too) and nobody says or does anything about it because it’s just….culture. The more you look into it the worse it gets, so I’d just stay out of it if I were you lol.

Are they really singers? Or, in Japan, idol is not a singer? Sorry to say it, but their singing ability is just.... Even there are more important factors for Jpop idol, these stages doesn't give any inspiration or great time (i'm telling it bc someone told it in his comment) to general listeners. Only their fans like it. If they are satisfied with their skill and performance, then I have nth to say more.

@The Red Flash lol culture has nothing to do with singing ability and performance, it's just a fact that kpop idols are more effective and efficient. Also anime idols is false advertisement for jpop idols. Anime idols are more like kpop idols than jpop. I got interested in idol culture as a result of anime but instead of jpop i ended up drawn to kpop. I personally think it's wishful thinking to ask that there be no comparison between the two, because it's just impossible for them not to be compared especially when people are first getting familiar with idol culture .

@@Eikoheartsdo you have a timestamp? i don't have enough time to check the early parts of the video, if she's in there. if you meant the early snippet, i couldn't see her in there, and i can't find her name in the line up list on the site. some seiyuu idol groups have been part of tokyo idol festival, so it's within possibility for machico to have taken part. if you can let me know the timestamp, i'll try to check more thoroughly. hopefully i can be of some assistance.
all that said, do you know idolmaster million live? machico voices ibuki tsubasa in there (she's part of the main trio), and has some great songs in there, both solo and group songs - there's music on spotify and an upcoming anime (and if you're fine with other means (🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️), i recommend checking out the japanese rhythm game if you can, and i recommend checking out the lives if you can). i really recommend the lives lol - million live has lots of lives throughout the years lol. if you're a fan of her in colorful stage, i hope you'll check out her work voicing tsubasa and support her there too!

@@adiyafanny876 it's really not that hard to understand what they meant: in the j-pop culture there are many factors (like stage presence, having fun as well as facial expressions) more important than the quality and technique of the singing. J-pop idols want their fans to have a great time with them and forget their daily lives as well as inspire them to do their best and gain strength to never give up.

@@dimasreidz48 It's completely understandable, stop trying to make them look bad for liking these kind of groups. If you don't understand that's your problem, they explained quite well. :S As they said, the quality of singing isn't even important in Jpop idol groups, specially in Indies. If they have fun, are energetic and make you happy, that's enough.
