Mr Earworm actually the good thing about it what I love about England most because I live in America now is I wish I didn't stay in America I wish I can come back to England which I will because in Europe in general people are more united than America America's not this great country you think it's more hate to you than anything else in America lot of hate Donald Trump in power now just country gone crazy slap next Roman Empire we don't have parties like that in America no Rub-A-Dub parties America's movie territorial capitalistic imperialistic country people leave divided in this country is getting worse
I'm a white guy, grew up in Hackney in the 70's with a West Indian family next door, didn't see colour as a child, we ate at whoever's house we were at when we were hungry. Parents chastised us like we were one family and like all kids, we played one off against the other to get what we wanted. Fast forward to a 20 year old young man selling his first flat in Ilford, decided to have a blues and raise some cash for my move north. Mousey, Hilary, John-Wayne, dum-dum, Greg, Sid all had a hand in it and we ended up with Channel One playing at my one bedroom flat. Mikey, Ras and crew played at my house party/blues with me the only white man present, a crazy night of wicked music, curry goat, special brew and dancing. Answering the door to the police many times with requests to lower the volume and just laughing at all the smoke pushing past us (good amount from Ras and Mikey). 50 now and still don't see colour............ just love.........one love. Been to NY and seen white attitude to blacks and got to say it, black attitudes to whites, so much fucking hate, mistrust and separation. I see a very fractured society in the US.
You like many others, connect with the spirituality of our African Heritage music. The situation we're in was what the world over is in, so Reggae music uplift the spirit which is how we survive the strife.

Danny Osmond That's true most English people are German and part Scandinavians, the true Brits were small people. Either way modern English are white Germans.
XVII-FEAR-GOD-XVII 1728 XVII Not exactly a white Arab person or a white Polish person looks really different to German/English whites so just being white doesn't make one English.
Me being white English doesnt stop me appreciating reggae music. Roots and sound system culture is what i listen to more than anything.

Just like Rock, reggae music is the situation we ended up in fight against the establishment with positive vibes. Dub is majestic music

No such thing as black English, black British you mean.
The Dusty Foot Philosopher exactly, English = White person born in this country. Black British is the correct term.........

In Jamaica reggae music is seriously on life support-it's dying. Fortunately, it will survive in some foreign land-most likely Europe.
