    Could you have veds but it not show up in your genes

      There are specific diagnostic genetic tests that are very reliable for diagnosing it. I don’t know the percentage accuracy, but I think it’s over 99%. That said, there are a number of “genetic tests” on the market that are more for ancestry type things, and those are not diagnostic or reliable for VEDS. So in that case, it could not show up in those tests (think 23andme, etc).
      If you had a diagnostic genetic test and VEDS was ruled out, check with your doctor to make sure other similar conditions were also ruled out. Hope this helps!

      I’ve fought to get an appointment for testing. I’m sure I have EDS but my veins rupture a lot and had to have a port for sedation type procedures. I have lots of joint issues. I’m hoping there is something that can be done to strengthen veins? Vitamins or meds.
