I once built a guitar using similar methods and I have to say you make that scroll saw look easy. I had a heck of a time getting the lines cut out just right.

Excellent. The finish on the body is very good and matches the headstock well.

Yes, you too can build or restore a cool bass. My Hofner (pictured) was a pile of junk left in a storage and given to me for nothing. I restored it to it's former glory and it sounds great. Love those Hofners!

I love that you used shellac. Very nice job. The only thing I would have done differently is place the pickup at the neck or halfway between the bridge and neck. I have a Wishbass that came with only one pickup at the bridge position and I ended up adding a neck pickup because there was not enough bass. :)

Fabian's Tiny Workshop however if you had put the pickup in the neck position it would have an ever beefier, more contrabass-like Sound! But great work anyways! :)

Love this project! A violin bass with a fender bridge... cool. And it looks great too. Only thing I would have done different, is put the single pickup closer to the neck (not the bridge). But I guess that's a personal tone thing. 👍
