    You’re the first person I’ve seen who’s personalized their travel kits!!! Love what you did!!! Thanks for the idea!!!

    You can use hot glue to partition the wells into 6, if you want. Also, to make the hinge stiffer, you can add a small washers to it on either side.

    I just bought the medium sized one. I love it. Have removed the waterbrush and put in 6 extra colours.
    Otherwise I prefer to use paints like Daniel Smith and other professional grades. Cotman paints are very nice

      Did you put the extra colours into the paint brush slot? That's so clever!

      @@travellingsweetpea Yes. I was able to fit 6 in there if you turn them long ways etc. then secure them with blue tac ( not sure if you have that over there) its like a gum for sticking posters and other things. I now have 18 colours.

    I was dragging my feet for over a year wanting that extendable tray palette, and I finally bought it, my favorite favorite palette, changed out the paints tho!

      I really loved it! The only reason I made the change was a space issue, but it's such a nice palette, great purchase :)

      @@travellingsweetpea yes! I bought the cotman set, and replaced the paints with professional paints that I got on sale for forever ago! Some day I hope my palette looks as well loved as yours! I LOVE messy palettes!

    I have the smallest palette, and really like the box. I'm not a fan of Cotman watercolors , so I switched them out for professional grade, Lukas 1862. (I saved the Cotman paint to use for stamping.) I really like this little palette, and I take it with me whenever I am heading out the door. Thanks for a fun video!

    How much would you rate the medium set with the water brush as I’m considering to buy it but I bought two other watercolour sets and they were horrible.

    You can divide the mixing areas using a hot glue gun to make more spaces if you want to. 😁

    Good grief!!! The state of those palettes would do my head in!!! I would have to take them apart and clean them, you said you like to reuse the paint but the amount of paint on those palettes is not worth keeping.

    I mean your old pallets still have so much paint just clean them

    • @travellingsweetpea
      @travellingsweetpea  4 роки тому

      I for sure use all the paint, these paints are in half pans so they are removable and I transfer them to the new palettes. This video is more about the different palettes and their pros and cons based on size and functionality. But that's a good reminder to always use up paint and supplies, thank you! (I also don't prefer a super clean palette lol)

    I dont get it this is not that big i own both travel kits from winser & newton and both are super light and super small. i can put either of them in my back pocket. and the little brushes are not that bad they hold water pretty good and are quality brushes. how small do you want. I mean why are some people wanting somthing so light i mean the next is carbon fiber and then you are no longer paying for the good quality paints but the thing that holds them.

    • @travellingsweetpea
      @travellingsweetpea  2 роки тому +1

      Glad these work so well for you 👍 It’s all about personal preference, I was curious so I tried these out and now people can make a choice based on some of my observations. Not everyone can afford to test out a bunch before finding their fav, and not everyone can afford artist quality paints, so these are great options.

      @@travellingsweetpea I was not rying to sound as if i was attacking the episode. i liked it. i just dont get why eveyone is so rapped up in thing being lighter. i would be more concerned about the qoulity of the pallet, paints and pan count. sorry if it came across like i was attacking i understand it about prefrence.
