With stainless a sharp drill makes a hole, a blunt one makes a stud when it welds itself into the material. That green tractor needs you to make it a nice set of new bushes for all the drive joints John, the slop in the ones it has is getting pretty bad, there must be enough play in there so even the thickest steam oil and grease cannot cover it up
John, you better be careful, It sounds like one of our California barking spiders may have made it into your shop and you stepped on it! They make funny noises, and then usually smell really bad afterwards. :) Great video as always.
Enjoyed the views of the steam equipment. I don't think the American manufacturers produced any of those items (the trucks, tractors, or locomotives) with as much aesthetic appeal--all the polished brass everywhere, is mainly what I mean. I may be wrong, and, if so, I'm sure someone will come along to educate me. Thanks for another nightcap.
Doesn't seem right. Two vids and not a single bollock dropped or bell-end rung out !!!! Not used to vids that just stop like that. Never the less, keep 'em coming, and all the best to your missus and to dad
Stainless steel had a good advantage over regular steel that it will not turn into a pile of rust in the spare wheel well, sitting there in all the damp and crud that gets in there.
It's always good when it cuts in the same groove! John, 03:24, and13:39, no bollocks!!?? You're mellowing out in your old age! lol - Does GB import most of the coal now, or are there still plenty of home reserves? - Another enjoyable SNNC!!
Mature Patriot ; No underground mining, still quite a few open cast, plus imported. Probably a lot of coal still to be mined, but cost/safety prevents this. GB used less than 4% for generating electricity in 2017. Wind power used considerably, biggest off shore in the world is off south east coast of England near Kent. Is it still in Pennsylvania and Virginia that have active mining.
Great stuff, John! Thanks for another super SNNC. My regards to Debs and your Dad.
Have a good one!
Dave

He dropped something else though :) I'd hate to be his laundress. :)

That wasn't the belt making that noise, it was the lathe lizard laughing at the lack of "Bollocks !!"
Wind's a bit lively tonight John.
nice little addendum at the end there John :) your lens is in dire need of a good cleanin' tho..

I'm sure I heard that lizard try to speak at 2:32 :)
John - Orbiter That's right.
It was closer to 2:farty :)
How'd you manage to fill in that thread relief groove??
Would a bent bit of copper pipe work to direct stringy chips away and down?
What was that sound at2: 34???
I think you may have shit a kidney out in that video!
Hey, wee hear his voice, how about his price... 😱😁😁😁
Sound not up to "usual" standard..... Broadcasting end.....or receiving end?
