I have mine for two weeks and agree with you on the FM and use my APP on my IPAD , differently makes setting alarms and time setting easier. Overall I love the radio, but hate the manual on how to set up the filters and low and high pass filters. The antenna turning knob is fidelity to adjust but can make a difference. I didn’t get an external antenna with my purchase so I can’t comment on this. MW and SW seems sensitive with the built-in antennas but a proper external antenna will exceed the built-in antennas most of the time. You can get NBFM CB and Ham 10M by putting the set into VHF and turning the frequency since VHF defaults to NBFM. Great review and 73! Have a great day!
You are the third channel I follow that has reviewed this particular radio in the last 2 days I believe you all are trying to tell me that I need one of these lol
Quiero saber dos cosas. 1. ¿Se puede dejar fija la luz de fondo? Al tiempo se apaga todo 2. A parte de usar baterías, ¿hay posibilidad de dejarlo conectado al enchufe sin usas baterías? Gracias y muy buen vídeo.
After the solar storm and conditions improve can you do a video showing 38 LSB skip to hear how it sounds?? Also what is the entire frequency range does it cover?
I will be doing a follow up video on the radio and antenna, After I've had a chance to use it some more. You can find all the info for this radio here: www.radioddity.com/products/raddy-rf919
The tuning knobs look like deal breakers. They need to be mechanically solid and to use optical encoders. Also the sensitivity on SSB does not look good - 20μV compared to 0.20 μV on an IC-705.
Radoddity seems to have been handling these out to reviewers like candy. I can't say I'm impressed by them. They look like something from the 1980's and they are way overpriced.

Eric from farpiont is a hack and he's fake.....
Looks like you can do a lot with that one. What a nice little radio!
Mines in the mail...so much fun...it's an honest tech toy

I'm not sure about the back light. the radio can be pluged in while in use.
Thanks for watching.
@@MowerJunkie Gracias por la respuesta amigo. ;)
Chances are your in house stereo is all analog and this radio is digital fm use hence the increases of Signals
I’ve got the MFJ version of that antenna with 3/8 thread.

It doesn't look like the antenna in the video is included with the radio when you purchase it.
cool looking radio and ssb sold lol
Raddy is very good 👍
They really are, and they did a great job designing this radio.

Thank you.
Body metal or plastic ???
No reception, audio etc ?
I am in need of a good receiver that can do SSB and has a wide frequency range. All my previous SW radios have been used to death.
This radio is a great option. Check out this link to see everything I forgot to put in the video. www.radioddity.com/products/raddy-rf919
for 270.00 its a very good deal for what you get great for preppers
the battery life is great too, Perfect for Preppers.
Cool radio. ✌✌
Anybody know how to disable key beep when pressing the buttons on the radio?
I’ve looked through manual without any success.
Boy that’s a nice one, too expensive for me though
make another video of the receiver in action

No microphone?
👋
The Raddy 919 does mute when tuning the through the frequencies
That is no good!
